[Link] | When do you know you have too many clothes?
When you forget a load of laundry drying outside the window and never miss any of the clothes there until comes time to hang another load... *blush*
Then again, I donated four huge bags just recently.. could it still be that I have too much?

[Link] | I just spent over 20 minutes searching an on-line dictionary I used to work with, furious that they removed the Russian virtual keyboard they offered and trying to figure out how the hell am I going to work now, since I LOVED that virtual keyboard. After I finished thinking all the horrible things I could come up with, I decided (cue light-bulb over head #1) to just go to google and look for another virtual keyboard. Then it finally dawned on me that the virtual keyboard was a whole different site and I used to copy/paste into the dictionary (cue light-bulb over head #2). I feel awfully stupid. Sorry you nice people at multritran.ru....

[Link] | I was stupid enough to let L watch Once Upon a Time... Man. He was somewhat appalled by the blood and gore, and then - Maestro dies. And of old age on top of everything else (for some reason the kid was perfectly happy with him being killed by the bear or something like that, but old age didn't make sense to him...). So we ended up having the inevitable discussion about death five minutes before bedtime. Joy. :-(
Today he comes up with the following: L: When Baby H is going to be really old and almost going to die, would I be dead already? Me: Uhm... no? L: But you always say I'm older than Baby L and I will always be older than Baby L... Me: OK, you're right, you'll be older, so you'll die FIRST. L: Yay!!!!!
Me: *cringe* at general topic of discussion / *pat on back* for maternal ingenuity.
"Sure, the kids get along great, my oldest isn't jealous at all, no rivalry..." YEAH RIGHT!

[Link] | I think, maybe, if I'm not mistaken, I almost missed it, but no, it's still a quarter to midnight... Someone has a birthday today! Happy birthday darling! All the best! :-)

[Link] | Is it just me or has LJ been really strange lately? I couldn't access my account for a couple of days, then it forgot I was logged in, then it wouldn't let me access messages. What's going on?

[Link] | So this is seriously weird. Remember the deleted phone numbers in my cell phone? They're back. I don't know how. I didn't do anything. All I can think of is BH getting hold of the phone again and banging it down on the floor some more. Maybe it restored the memory?!

[Link] | BH liked to play with my cell phone. He flips it open and puts it to his ear and "talks". It's really cute. I never worried much, I mean, what could he possibly do? Dial one of my last calls? So be it. Apparently he could erase contacts. I don't know if it was done in one sitting or over time, but I took my phone to call a taxi only to discover I no longer have the number of the taxi station. Nor the numbers of 5 other stations or half my business contacts. Whole letters just disappeared from the list. That was... ugm... troubling. I found most of them in my old phone, but no more playing with the cell phone for the baby. He's upset... :-(

[Link] | I realized - I hate kids. Obviously I like my own :-) and some that belong to friends and family, but on the whole, kids are cruel, rude, and physically and emotionally hurtful to me. And having (at least) two of my own means I am forced to deal with their peers for the next 18 years or so, at least. This idea makes ms shudder. There, I said it.
[This 5 or 6 year old was riding her bike in the playground today, insisting to ride in the play area where babies were crawling, while there's a huge riding area around it. I asked her to ride elsewhere. She ignored me. Another mother asked, very politely, with an age-appropriate explanation. She ignored her too. I asked again, more firmly - nothing. She then caught her dog and smacked it around. I told her off. She ignored me. I repeated. She dragged the dog a few steps away and continued. I raised my voice some. She yelled back "leave me alone". I went to who I thought was the responsible adult with her. Turns out she's a distant relative of his, he's there with a bunch of kids and he could not care less about the kid, the bike, the dog or me. Ugh]
Rephrase that last statement - I hate people. All of them.

[Link] | Ugh! Ugh! Ugh! I need to vent.
The daycare is giving what i consider to be an unhealthy snack. I wanted to ask them to try something else. I mailed the parents to see what they think about it and if anyone objects to the change. Hardly anyone responded and those who did, decided to focus on the idea that e-mailing everyone instead of talking to the owner directly is subversive and inappropriate. I wrote again, explaining I believed I had no right making such requests without clearing with the parents first and all I wanted to know is whether anyone objects to my going to talk to her. This morning I arrive to talk to her, only to find out she had phone calls last night and this morning from parents "comforting" her for the "attack" on her over e-mail and siding with her against the mother who's turning everyone against her. The whole e-mail discussion turned into a popularity contest for who'll support the owner more. Why? Why do people have to go and do that? You don't care about the snack? So shut up. You object to changing it? Say so. I wouldn't dare to suggest anything if other parents objected. But no, you go behind my back and slander me to kiss up to the owner. Great.
