I hate it when friends who used to be one of your closest just stop trying.
Hate it even more the fact that I never do.
Sure I've come to understand the meaning of friendships being a two way relationship,
And once they stop trying I can never be possibly even good friends anymore, at least not for a while.
And I accept that.
But the worst part is getting to the point of acceptance when I myself tone down to keeping bi-annual communications.
Can once best friends ever get to the point of acquaintances even if I try to never get there? Possibly.

Actually, the worst is when I don't understand why.
Why?

God, fate, destiny. Whatever it's called, I feel like life ultimately figures itself out in a miraculous way.
I think the best religion is to be optimistic, try your best and be happy with what life gives you, as cliche as it might sound.

Some instances, I feel like my life sucks and it's empty. But upon deeper introspection, I know I have everything I ever really need. My life is pretty complete.

I think it's funny how the people I get along with the mostttt are those hippy, artsy people, even though I'm really neither of those at all. Isn't it? hahaha

Once upon a time, I had a really good friend, who passed away quite suddenly.
He taught me a life lesson, that's stuck in my mind since, and is constantly reminded of.

"Be nice to/do nice things for people around you, for you never know when they'll be gone,
And when they're gone, you can't do even the grandest things for them if you wanted to."

I've lived by that thought everyday,
But now, I'm starting to rethink it.
Maybe there is such a thing as being too nice.
Maybe it's also supposed to be a balance, like how the name of this blog is supposed to remind me of about life.

Only problem is, it's so much harder in practice than how it sounds.
How do you even say no to people when you know it's gonna make them happy? ):

On the side note, you know when you cut yourself or scrape your skin or something? Isn't it CRAZY how your tissues just build themselves back up by themselves!? WHattttt!!!!???

I feel like I shouldn't care about the world anymore.
Sometimes, overthinking just makes you miserable.

Heck, it's 2012.
I'm gonna do what I want and feel like (of course not morally wrong)
and if anyone doesn't like it, screwww it

I realize there are always people who appreciate us for who we really are, and it's really weird how we try to get appreciated by people who don't.

I think a lot the people who think they can go through life being single, won't realize how bad the bad side of it is, until they get much older, and in holiday seasons.

I wonder if it is a universal longing to have someone, or there are really people truly content (not will be ok) with otherwise.

Anyways,
A big
MERRY CHRISTMAS
shout-out from Malibu, California! :D

It's so difficult to remember not to change yourself and your values, just so you will get accepted into the people around you. Especially when you're the minority.

Like all other things, when the situation actually arises, it's so much more difficult to draw a solid line like when you type or say it out, and justifying reasons will come out. Not that one shouldn't be flexible and adaptive, but I think one should always remember his values.

I'm glad I remembered.

Gonna sleep in early tonight :)

A little scared I'll be injured since I'm so far away from home,

Every December, I get this unexplainable warm, cozy, nice feeling. One that comes back every year, that I can now recognize it.

Every December.

"Is studying really all that important..?
...Is life?"
