few autumn pics

Thought I'd share some pictures from Thanksgiving.. Mum doing an amazing job at the owl show and a cute one of Mum and Ten... had my camera RIGHT THERE at Thanksgiving dinner but was having such a fabulous time goofing off with my nephews I didn't end up taking any pictures.... next time for sure! Hope you are all doing well... lets start putting more on this here blog, I know we all have more to share than we actually end up sharing :)

Art with my second graders!

Thought I'd share some of my second graders' work! Did a fun lesson with them about fruit orchards (that I wrote and taught by myself!) that they really enjoyed. I was VERY impressed by their creativity! Also threw in a picture of one of the photography projects that one of the students did with the a photographer that came into the classroom.. they had to choose an animal that they felt represented them, staged and took their own pictures, then wrote about it (also a fun project they got really into).

SO it's been forever since anyone has posted! I have some pics of Tenney and my trip to the desert as well.. but for now wanted to share some pics of Sammy's first baseball game.... too cute not to share! He did great, hit a few times, got to second base.. got pretty tuckered out in the end but seemed like he had a great time! Much love to all.. more pics to come :)

Fall in upstate New York

Me on top of my very first complete trad multi - pitch climb!! So much fun, I think we decided that the top was about 870 feet.  

So, you can't tell in this picture that well but this is Tom and I in the middle of our climb at a belay station.

Me climbing - this was a really fun traverse.

This was our first day in the Adirondacks - it was raining so we hiked up Giant Mountain - where apparently we had just missed a blizzard - pretty good timing, though it was freezing!  Plus we'd been hiking in the rain most of the way up.  But, the skies cleared a bit and we had a magnificent view. (below)
