Dean is 2!!??

I don't know where the time has gone! I can not believe Dean is 2. He is so much fun. Some days I can barely keep up with him. He is so busy and constantly on the go. He is talking up a storm. He enjoys being outside and getting dirty. He likes Bob the builder, Cars, trucks, Woody and Buzz, coloring, trains, reading, "helping", building blocks, and playing peek a boo. He adores Floyd. Dean know's his colors and he counts to 1,3,7,8. He makes us so happy and we love him so much.

We celebrated Dean's birthday by going to the zoo and partying like animals.

Dean's first Easter egg hunt. We went to Santaquin city's.

Dean didn't know what to think about the Easter bunny.

We celebrated Bowdrie's birthday by going to a picnic at the sand dunes.

Dylan's Graduation!!

Dylan Graduated from Maple Mountain High and we are so very proud of him!!!
We love you Dylan!

Sadness, stress, and a seizure.

April was a rough month for us. Our horrible month started out with our niece falling. She had a compound skull fracture, spent a week at Primary Children's and had to have surgery and stitches. The following week my brother's friend committed suicide. It was so horribly sad!! The next week we were in a car accident. A week and a half after that Bowdrie had a seizure.
To say the least it was a month from hell!!
Luckily we all walked away from the car accident. Bowdrie broke his wrist, I jammed my thumb and had scratches up my arm, and Dean thankfully had not a scratch on him. We were in a rental car because our CRV was being serviced for airbag recall, which was another big blessing. It was such a scary experience. We were making a left had turn in Orem on Geneva road to get on the freeway, by the Harley Davidson. Bowdrie was driving and didn't see the car coming. They hit us on the passenger front(my side). All the airbags deployed and we spun. I just remember mama bear mode kicking in full force and I jumped into the back seat to my crying, scared baby. My mom and dad were in front of us, another blessing. They were able to stay with us, take us to the ER, help with Dean, and take us home.

Bowdrie's seizure was another scary and horrible experience. We went to bed like any normal typical night. I woke up to him moaning and shaking. I couldn't wake him. So I flipped on the lights to my horror he was foaming at the mouth. I panicked. I thought my husband was dying. In my fit of hysteria I managed to check his pulse. He had one and was breathing. I ran and called 911. The paramedics and cops came and questioned me about what happened.( normal nightly routine, no he did not take any narcotics, no this is not normal). They checked his vitals and he walked to the stretcher. They took him away in the ambulance. He doesn't remember a thing and woke up in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.

After fighting to get him in to a neurologist per the ER doctors request. We were finally able to get him into see one in Draper. Which happened to be on Dean's first birthday.

After the appointment we went to the aquarium. The Neurologist ordered an EEG and MRI and a follow up appointment to go over the results and the plan from there. They also told us that Bowdrie can not drive for 3 months according to Utah law.
Dean had a lot of fun and was completely worn out from our busy day.

Our attempt at a selfie..

Dean is such a crazy, wild man. He loves being outside and he loves his dog. He loves to play and he loves to read.  He is everywhere, into everything, and has a mouth-full of teeth. He says momma, dada, dog, woof, and uh-oh. He is so much fun despite the destruction he causes. We just don't know what we'd do without our fun and loving boy. We are so blessed to have him as part of our forever family. His birthday party was a great success. We had a whole house full and Dean was spoiled rotten. We are so grateful for all the family and friends who came to celebrate with us. THANK YOU!!

We suprised Bo on his birthday. (A week after Dean's)

The MRI  was done the following Wednesday and the MRI was scheduled for that Friday and would go all weekend, ending on Monday. That Friday just happened to also be Bowdrie's birthday.

They came and hooked Frankenstein all up. 23 leads on his head and 2 on his chest. Poor Bo!

I had purchased a month before, tickets to Desert star theater for a surprise birthday present. So we went leads and all and enjoyed the show.

He survived and all the testing came back ok. So since the seizure was un-provoked they started him on anti-seizure medication. As long as he doesn't have another one he can drive on July 19th! ( I am counting down!!) We have a few more follow up appointments with the Neurologist and orthopedic surgeon and getting through my hectic work schedule (new computer charting system and mandatory extra shifts. Gag.). Hopefully life will return to normal soon!

Despite all this insanity, I feel as though we were blessed with tender mercies throughout all of our trials. Everything has worked out and we have had so many family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and ward members who have helped and prayed for us. We are incredible lucky to have such amazing and loving people in our lives. Thank you all for your love, help, and support. We love you all. We are incredible blessed and I feel as though we were watched over and protected. Heavenly Father is mindful of us and our trials. My heart is full!! We are so very blessed!!
