I have neglected posting here for quite some time it seems. In an effort to catch this page up here are the pieces which I've missed.

Meet Elvis! A much beloved horse. I saw a photo of Elvis on a friend's facebook page and asked if I could paint it. I ended up doing two versions, one green and one blue.

This is my friend Marina's dog, DJ. I simply love this dog! She is loved by everyone in our neighborhood. She is so sweet and tolerant of children and their antics. You really couldn't ask for more in a furry family member! It was such a joy to paint her.

I spent the first half of my childhood living on 10 acres in a small town in northern California. There was a row of big rocks lining the dirt road which ran by our house which my sister an I would run along. My mom had planted purple irises all along those those rocks—I loved them then and I love them now.

I was asked to paint this piece as an anniversary present. This is a winery which the couple visited when they were first married. I really enjoyed painting it!

I painted this for a sweet family who was moving out of a home which they had lived, loved, and grown in for many years. It can be bitter-sweet closing one chapter and opening a new one. I hope that when they look at this painting it makes them smile to think on all of the memories which they had in this house which was once their home.

This is another digital painting which I did using the Procreate app and Apple Pencil on my iPad Pro. My 3 year old son sat next to me while I worked on this. He was using Art Flow on his Kindle. It's so nice to be able to create art side by side.

I love love love painting on my iPad Pro. Well, I should say that when I love it I love it. That is to say that typically, I am drawn to painting in oils but there are a lot of times I just want to be able to sit on the couch, grab my iPad, and just paint. No setup, no cleanup. Also, the other half of myself is a graphic designer which makes me a bit of a technology junky and an Apple fanatic. I love being able to zoom in for details, to be able to hit undo/redo, and let's face it, the creation of the super-sized iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil is an irresistible combination!

My childhood dog was a doberman and my first dog as an adult was a lab/golden mix. These breeds hold a special place in my heart so it only seems right that they should be the first of my breed specific, non-commissioned, paintings!

Recently I finished the largest painting I've ever done (Sligo). I believe this is the smallest. I painted this for March's Virtual Paintout challenge which was in Ghana. This is another large one, though not nearly as large as the Sligo painting! I had so much fun painting this! I was so captured by the spirit and beauty of this horse that I was sad to finish it. I was originally going to add a cradle to this but when I was out shopping the other day I found the perfect frame! The texture of the frame runs vertically and teeters on the edge of contemporary and traditional which I love! It is also dynamic enough to put on this painting which has so much movement but doesn't have so much energy that it competes with the painting. I was so happy as I really did not want to put a small plain frame on this guy!

Until this sells, it can be found hanging in my family room!
