Gotta spell it out.

Seriously, there is no other word for it.

Remember the time when we were young and ignorant, and when the most worshiped Square-Enix announced their new game called "Kingdom Heart", we were so excited over the pretty character designs and the real time game play and Utada Hikaru singing the theme song for it, and when we look at it closely, we were like "WAAITT!!....HOLY CRAP THAT'S MICKEY!" And so begins the fandom over one of the most revolutionary games of all time, complete with spin-offs and sequel(s).

Although I HATE to bring in a Hannah Montana reference here, it's the Best of Both Worlds. Disney has been magical for decades and so has rpg games. When fused together, you've got disney fans and rpg fans combined to form one hellova market for the game. And it was indeed a hellova awesome game.

BUT, I'm not gonna talk about Kingdom Hearts here. I'm gonna talk about EPIC MICKEY.

What's EPIC MICKEY, you may ask?

Honestly, I have no idea either, but one thing that I can be sure is that it's EPIC, whatever it is.

I first heard of this on the Resident Evil Fan forums. Someone posted two articles about this new game that's in the making right now. Basically what the articles talk about is that [summary]this guy, Warren Spector, has a studio called Junction Point Studios, which got bought by Disney Interactive in 2007. Mr. Spector is apparently the lead designer behind the lovely cyberpunk-themed FPS-fused-with-RPG title called Deus Ex (I have yet to experience it but it looks cool), so now people are wondering, what the heck is this guy doing working under the oh-so-innocent Disney? And then this little unknown blog dug up some pretty darn awesome concept artworks posted on the blogs of these artists, and connected it with the speculation Gamasutra made regarding a possible title, "Epic Mickey" that is possibly in the works.[/summary]

So what do ALL these mean? It means Disney's getting smarter. They finally realized that kids these days are twisted beyond repair, and no one's gonna oogle over little cute mickey and his futile attempts at wooing minnie, or goofy going about his daily chores in his, well, goofy, ways. Kids these days need action, they need Tim Burton. They need to have a notion of what's apocalypse. Take Wall-E for instance. It's a pretty huge leap from conventional animation for children, especially one such as Wall-E which involves humans in the future transmogrifying into rolling meat loaves. A decade back, no one could ever imagine Disney going for the dark, apocalyptic style (Well, except for The Nightmare Before Christmas, but even that is only becoming popular these few years, no one has even heard of it when I talked enthusiastically about it in my primary school back in those days)

Anyways, this might be THE game that I'll be waiting for for a while. Kingdom Heart was awesome, but it's more of onesan's type of game (I can never aim the jump properly, thus falling into my death countless times).

Seriously, I have a feeling it's gonna be EPIC.

Direction

First post in a LONG time. And naturally it has to be about Resident Evil.

So while Comic-Con is happening right now and I'm missing the one big event I've pretty much been waiting for the whole year, some news were revealed about the future of the Resident Evil Series. Well, "news" to the extent that...there is no news.

Takeuchi and fellow RE veteran Masachika Kawata are playing blackjack to see who will end up producing the next Resident Evil game. For real. But they're not playing alone, because Takeuchi followed that up by saying "it doesn't appear as though either of us is going to be in charge" of the next game.

WTF?!

It's like RE5 screwed the series up so much that no one wants to responsibility of continuing from there. -_-'' I mean, the biggest badass of all has been melted into boiling hot lava with NO CHANCE of returning, and zombies have long disappeared...what's gonna happen next? Zombies in Space? S.T.A.R.S tea party? Bleh.

Or even worst, they might just outsource the whole project like Silent Hill 5. That would be like letting Anderson direct the next Resident Evil Movie!

As I'm car-less, I can't drive home so I had to wait for either Wilson or Willis to pick me up after school. I was getting really anxious coz today's the world premiere of Linkin Park's new song, New Divide, used in the movie Transformers II: Revenge of the Fallen. I don't have any radio around me and my phone's radio wouldn't work without earphones, so I was getting pissed (and plus the fact that my water bottle leaked and my worksheets ended up swimming in my bag), but THEN, Wilson called and said he can take me home. So YAY!

So I got home, 3.30pm, the song will be released at 3.45, so I went onto Resident Evil Fan and screwed around a little, grabbed something to eat, and somehow, it became 5pm. -___- So I quickly went to their website and lo behold, it's there!

I clicked play, and my heart started to hop around like crazy - IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!

After playing it for a couple of thousand times, I went to imeem to see if I can link it here. EDIT: Ok, so here's what happend -

I got into an accident.

Basically, I was doing a right turn on a T-intersection, and there was a bigass white mailing van on my left waiting to do a left turn, so I guess it blocked my view of an oncoming chevrolet suv. So thinking that it's all clear, I started to turn and then BAMM!!

Wreck.

A badly done sequence of what happened:




The horrible thing is that there was no damage at all to the chevy. DAMN YOU BIG CARS!! Half of my front bumper flew off, along with a couple of million of other parts that just got thrown into the air. Good thing that the lady was really nice about it and she tried to help me get a tow truck or something. (But they didn't come -__-'') So while I was seriously pissed at myself, 大娘 came and got me to the office, and then 大爺's friend helped me get my car to the auto repair shop.

RAWRRR!!!

The repair person said that they're trying to help find me parts, but if they can't, God forbid, they'll have to use new ones which will cost me a bijillion dollars...

MOOOOOO!!!

Grr...I should seriously just turn a little earlier and let the impact be on the driver's door instead, at least the car will still be drivable. But then again I'll probably die from it. Talk about near death experience...

But I just want my car back!!!
