    I make no secret that I've been a big fun of Charity Parkerson's style in which she writes her short fiction for a long time. Imagine my delight when I saw that particular style of writing being transplanted to a larger, lengthier work.

    The writing is pretty much transparent, the kind that makes you forget that you are actually reading a book and you simply follow the story as it unfolds in front of you.

    This book has a suspenseful storyline that kept me guessing and wondering until the end. And, of course, there are enough steamy, tastefully so, scenes to satisfy any modern romance reader.

    Highly Recommended!

    I enjoyed reading this book, which has the good amount of emotions and erotic elements to make the reader love the story. There is a perfect balance between all the elements in this book, which is written in a very good taste.

    The story of two sisters who have lost their reckless parents and older sister for a very stupid reason (that stupid reason shows how reckless they were). They try to continue with their lives, despite the gossipers in their home town. Years later, lovers from the past and new loves will appear in their lives, making them take decisions. The plot is a good one, well-developed, and it has twists that make you go on reading. The characters are reliable and very well depicted. The erotic scenes are quite sexy. I have really enjoyed reading this book.

    Finding love after tragedy

    When Faith's sister, Serenity, leaves her fiance, Adam, standing at the alter, Faith has to deal with the fall out. Faith knows something is not quite right, and she sets out to find Serenity, forcing Faith to deal with Adam, who just happens to be an old flame of hers. A Splash of Hope is a wonderful story filled with love, forgiveness, and finding hope after tragedy. The love scenes made me blush more than once - hot and steamy. A great read for romance fans!

    Filial Love Sprinkled with Romance

    The youngest sister in a family with three daughters finds love and marries a much older man. Her new stepson is deeply in love with the middle sister, who raised her after her parents and their older sister died. She hatches a plot with her new family, that will bring her stepson and her sister together, and despite some resistance from the victim of their scheming, they succeed.

    The story depicts the depth of filial love and commitment, and sprinkles this with romance. Although it is purely an adult read, it tells of how much siblings sometimes sacrifice to get each other set up in life. A side thread that runs through the story had me itching to know more about the preacher that was married to the elder sister that died. He insists that he was faithful to her and their marriage vows, although her sisters claim otherwise. A Splash of Hope seems like a splash of stories yet to be written.

    I Cried (but in a good way).

    This short read had me hooked from start to finish. Serenity and Hope are sisters who have secrets in their past that may stop them enjoying the future. I liked that all the characters had their own voice and the structure was not the standard, traditional linear one, but the book went from present to past to present, which made the narrative more interesting (in my opinion). I think the editing could be tighter, and I was going to give this one 4 stars when I was in the middle of the book, however, I cried not once, but twice! When I read the last page, I had tears running down my cheeks, and any book that can do that to me gets 5 stars! If you like romance with a touch of erotica, I'd definitely recommend this one.

    Soap Opera-ish -( In a Good Way )- Fun to Read Novella

    This book was romantic and fun to read, but it was much too short to be called a novel. It's definitely a novella - my kindle said 209 pages but it was even shorter in that each flip of the page was more like two pages. Though I wished it was longer, I enjoyed the read. It was soap-opera-ish, but I thought that made it a really fun read. It was sweet, entertaining, and had some neat twists I didn't see coming. I wouldn't hesitate to read more from this author! It was well-written but I do have one minor technique quibble - she rarely used contractions, both in dialogue and description, and I found that rather distracting. Nicely written other than that.
