"The 10 Reasons Why No One Knows What They’re Doing in Their 20s"

I stumbled upon this article/blogpost on my facebook timeline, and having nothing to do with my time at that moment, I decided to just give it a read. I didn't think it would be a very long post until I quickly scrolled all the way down just to check how much time it would consume to read the post.

Although the website is mainly targeted at men, I believe this post in particular can be learned and applied by women as well. (I say men and women because, come on, you're in your twenties, not your tweens.)

As I read through the whole article, it made me think of what I'm actually doing with my one life. I've been living my life, in the same way, every single day and thinking to myself: "Isn't there much more than this?"

Especially since it's freaking SUMMER BREAK, and having less than a month (29 days in fact) left before I go overseas to continue my studies, I should be doing a lot MORE than just working part time, surfing the net, sleeping, etc.

I should be living it out! I should be doing different things! I should be spending precious time with friends and family! But... it's not like I actually have complete freedom to do whatever I please; I have to consider the plans my parents and family have made, above all things, because family comes first right? Because of this, I've had to hold off/post phone/cancel some appointments made with friends. It's no fuss really if it's just once, or twice at the most. But when the same plan keeps getting canceled because of other arrangements or circumstances, it can really make a person mad and frustrated. It's as if the world is saying "NO."

Due to this, I'm trying to not plan so far ahead into the near future (not not planning 10 years ahead). I try to take things as they come, I try to not expect, I try to let go. Even with all that advanced, detailed planning, if the circumstances do not allow those plans to take place, what is the point anyway? However, in my opinion, general planning wouldn't hurt anyone.

This is just a quick summary of me ranting my thoughts on such matters.

I have set a short term goal to give my own personal thoughts and opinions on each segment of the article; one post a day. I pray to God I'll stick to it and not let it die a horrible, writer's block death.

A Quick Rant Post

Just to quickly say something before I forget.

I know how I get over things really quickly; problems, bad days, bad experiences, people, games, celebrities. When I meant 'get over', I meant like not getting super excited and going all "OMG" all the time. Guess I'm habitualised to them, I suppose. It's quite irritating (to me sometimes and especially my boyfriend) that this happens so frequently. I can't help it, I get bored easily!

Of course if that particular person, object, game, etc can hold my interest till the very end like say, the Kingdom Hearts series, Okami (these are the only two games I finished on PS2 out of all that I own) Mass Effect 2 and 3 and COD: MW3, then yay!

But most of the time, I don't finish my games; Dishonored, Assassin's Creed 2 Brotherhood, Assassins Creed 3, Far Cry 3, The Last Remnant, Persona 4, Bully (exception; cause it's so awesome I didn't want it to end), etc.

For people, I suppose my theory is that if I'm exposed to them for too long; especially celebrities and characters I get, well, over them. For example, Thane Krios from Mass Effect 2; I was obsessed with that character for months until I finished ME3. Months after that, I slowly found myself loosing that passion I felt for that character from when I first started the game. So there.

And so my other theory to over come that (with people) is to not get so deeply involved; to not constantly google their faces everyday. Of course I run the risk of loosing interest completely if I refuse to be have anything to do with whatever that involves them said people/characters.

Plus I'm so absolutely afraid of loosing interest. Is it because it's not.. normal? Then again I've not really considered myself normal... So does that mean it's normal for me?

HAHA ignore my ranting. But I sometimes wonder if there are others who feel the same way?

Rurouni Kenshin (2012) review? + some ramblings

Just watched Rurouni Kenshin in the cinema the other day and I've got to say it was fantastic. I watched the film prior to that on my laptop, and I told myself that I must watch it on the big screen (which I did).

I thought Sato Takeru did a really good job portraying Himura Kenshin; the moves, the speaking style, the character itself seemed to have come to life on screen!

The rest of the cast was well picked for their characters too. And according to my housemate, the live adaptation was really accurate to the anime, including some of the sets and battle scenes! How awesome is that? I can't really remember much because the last I time I watched the show was about 11 years ago?

Anyway the story line was good over all, and the fighting scenes were really fresh. Fresh in a way where it wasn't all 'jibaboom' (explosions) and stuff. There's gore (for those who like seeing blood splayed everywhere) and there's really awesome swordplay!

I was searching through my whole blog for this one particular post I did on Samurai X two years ago (here) to sort of reference this post (?) and while doing that I had to look through almost all of my posts. I've got to say, I was quite... rebellious? I mean while reading my old posts consisting mostly about me ranting about how horrible my life was; blablabla (teenage drama!) I thought to myself "wow I sound so spoiled". HAHAHA. Anyway, I have also come to realise that a majority of the pictures uploaded here on blogger are freaking GONE. What the freaking hell? Where the heck are my pictures?!

Yep. and that's all for tonight! Planning to head to the gym tomorrow morning. Hopefully it's not a 'all talk and no action' thing :S

SHERLOCK's Unaired pilot

Well. I just watched A Study in Pink; the un-aired version and well I've got to say, they made the right choice when they decided to re-film it again.

Sherlock appears to look much younger in appearance than in the canon episodes. His hair is a lighter shade of brown instead of black, less curly and slightly longer at the back, also. He wears jeans instead of slacks which makes him again, appear younger, almost amateur-like.

His personality, I would say is not as cold and calculating as the current Sherlock; doesn't speak as fast too. Sherlock was not expressed as well as compared to the revised episode. Here he seemed to be slightly sloppy, almost soft even. His cognitive skills were not shown as much as in the revised version where for example in the canon episode, Sherlock actually spoke aloud which route the taxi driver would take and what he would pass by or go through such as traffic lights and no entry roads.

I didn't quite like the cinematography used in the episode; a lot of medium close ups. I didn't get to see much of what was going on as compared to the canon episode 01, where a majority of the shots used were long shots. The medium close up shots kind of made me feel compressed and restricted. But, the extreme close ups of Benedict's eyes and other features of his face; oh I quite liked that.

Over all I loved the canon episode 01, and not quite so on the un-aired pilot. Though, it was a good head start on to the series as it helped to set the basic plot for the series, but the revised version definitely got the ball rolling.

Behold, a new fandom in my routine life.

I've just recently entered the wonderful Sherlock fandom and I have to say, 'I have absolutely no regrets'. Well, except that I regretted entering it quite late (2 years late in fact).

It was evening and I was on a train back to my hometown after completing my exam and submitting my assignments in university. Sherlock Holmes (the movie) had just started playing silently with subtitles on a small screen just a few seats in front of me. I already had my laptop out; thinking of watching a random movie on my hard drive to pass the two and a half hours journey home. Well, I didn't know Sherlock Holmes was playing at first; so there I was, trying to identify the movie. I sort of had a hunch it was Sherlock Holmes, but I wasn't sure as I had not seen it before.

Anyway, the train was already moving through the city and making its way out of it. About twenty to half an hour into the journey, the train made a stop at one of the small towns and literally just stopped; with its engines switched off, and since the engine was turned off, the screen went black as well. I literally rolled my eyes as my entertainment was cut short and proceeded to take out my laptop again (I kept it as I was engrossed with the movie on the little screen). Then I remembered that a friend had so kindly transferred two seasons of BBC's SHERLOCK into my external hard drive while transferring other files.

Hence, commenced my 'fangirling' for SHERLOCK. 'A Study in Pink' was a fantastic experience. I watched; awestruck, as Sherlock explained how he knew so much about John's life just from the way he walked, stood, talked, and his cell phone. It was brilliant, and from that point on, I knew, that I had to share it with my friends. I knew (just) a few who were Doctor Who fans and even less of SHERLOCK fans (I might not be sure. They may be hiding underground from society for all I know).

I was a little disappointed when I found out that there were only three episodes per season; and there were only two seasons. I was devastated. I wanted more. And so I googled about the series and to my absolute glee; there was going to be a season three! I was ecstatic.

Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) and John (Martin Freeman)

I just finished season one by myself and had watched two episodes of season one with my dad (yes, he has succumbed to the intellectual, witty, awesomeness that is SHERLOCK as well) and I have to say, every episode is such an adventure. I've never had such a crazed fanatic over live drama series as I've only ever been engrossed over Japanese anime, so this is something completely new to me. I have tried warming up to Bigbang Theory and How I Met Your Mother, but all attempts had had me switching off the tele and going on to the internet instead. But SHERLOCK had retained my interest for the past three episodes and I am sure, it will; is going to continue for the next two seasons.

The wit and dry humour isn't the only thing I looked forward to when watching the show, Benedict Cumberbatch has proven to be [almost] perfect for the role of Sherlock. He has that crazed, eccentricity that radiates off of him when he solves a case, and that; in my opinion pulls the audience deeper into the fandom. Of course, how can one not adore his profile?

However, many would beg to differ on my opinion of Benedict. Some would say he's not all that great, or that good looking but who cares? He's fantastic!

My friend's assault case with her husband (clearance)

Following the recent assault case between an ex-classmate and her husband, I would like to present BOTH sides of the story. Since sharing her video on facebook many people have been asking me about the whole issue. Seriously, I do NOT know every single detail of the conflict. I'm just a friend who thinks that beating your wife is wrong.

LEARING THE AIR: Calven Chik telling his side of the story to Malaysian Digest reporters at his home in Ipoh yesterday. Pix: SM Amin.IPOH: “I know it was wrong. I knew it the moment the red mist cleared. I’m sorry.”

That is the admission by Calvin Chik (pic), the man who is at the centre of the controversy involving a series of videos which depicts him assaulting his wife in their branded goods boutique in Ipoh.

Almost overnight, the 26-year-old has become ‘public enemy number one’ on Malaysian social media networks, thanks to the availability of the videos, which has garnered him nationwide scorn and even earned him threats from strangers.

The videos, captured via the store’s CCTV cameras, were uploaded by his wife, 19-year-old Amanda Fong, on her Facebook page. Fong, who is two months pregnant, had also posted up pictures of the injuries she had sustained following the incident.

At last count, the videos have been ‘shared’ almost 25,000 times by Facebook users.

Met at his family home in Ipoh yesterday, Chik said he had no excuse for his actions and expressed remorse.

“I know that there is no reason or justification for my actions and I cannot defend myself over this. It was something that I should not have done. I regret it,” he told Malaysian Digest.

Chik claimed he and his wife had numerous arguments before, some of which had escalated into violence. He admitted that this wasn’t the first time that he had become physical with her, and vice versa.

“I don’t expect anyone to understand it, and I doubt if anyone ever will,” he said.

Bad Romance

Violence, he stressed, has not always been a feature of their marriage. The couple first met in June last year and tied the knot on Jan 17 this year.

He claimed that the marriage was good in the beginning, but was eventually soured by the presence of his mother-in-law, whom he claimed was a disruptive influence.

He believed that Fong’s mother played a prominent role in influencing her daughter’s behaviour and for driving a wedge between them.

“My wife had a troubled upbringing. Her parents separated when she was young, and she was raised by her mother and grandmother. This was related to me when we first started to know each other,” he claimed.

His mother-in-law, he claimed, was warm to his at first but he eventually sensed that she disliked him. He claimed that when he went to her to ask for her blessing to seek Fong’s hand in marriage, his mother-in-law rejected him the first time around.

Chik related several incidences of when the mother-in-law’s behaviour puzzled him, such as when the newlyweds wanted to go to Macau for their honeymoon. He claimed the mother-in-law demanded that she be brought along.

“I thought it was a bizarre request, and my wife thought so too. This was after all, our honeymoon. My mother-in-law only dropped her demand when my wife bought her a ticket to London for a religious event, something which the former had been pestering her for previously,” he alleged.

Newfound Wealth, Mysterious Phone Calls

Chik claimed that when he first met Fong, the family was not well-off. Both mother, daughter and grandmother lived in a modest two-room flat in Ipoh.

“Amanda wasn’t working, nor studying, she told me her family couldn’t afford it. But as the relationship progressed, I saw Amanda having quite a bit of money. She then enrolled in a course at a local college, claiming that the fees came from a sponsor from her mother’s company.”

Chik said he didn’t want to question where the money came from, but became increasingly intrigued as her spending increased.

“She later began accumulating expensive clothes, handbags and started dining at expensive places. She no longer had to rely on me for money,” he claimed.

However, his curiosity reached its peak when she declared that she was interested in buying a brand-new Volkswagen Beetle, which costs almost RM200,000.

Chik, who ran a marketing company, claimed he knew there was no way she could qualify for a loan, even if she used her mother’s name as the mother did not make much.

She eventually told him that the source of her new-found wealth was an “inheritance from her late grandfather”, who owned several orchid farms in Malaysia. She told him that she received the money when she turned 18 from the caretaker of the family business.

He was also puzzled by ‘mysterious’ phone calls she received, and claimed that she was secretive over the nature of the calls. She claimed that the calls were from the caretaker.

He claimed she also declined to let him accompany her when she wanted to go and meet the caretaker. He claimed she met the caretaker on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

“Each time she returned, she would take her mother and I out for either a nice dinner or a shopping trip,” he claimed.

Chik claimed Fong eventually bought a brand new Honda Insight, which costs almost RM100,000. She claimed that the caretaker had helped secure the documents for the purchase.

“I tried to avoid thinking about it, but I reassured myself that this was all above board, and there was nothing going on,” he claimed.

Infidelity Shock

He claimed that in May, while using his wife’s iPhone to use her web browser, he stumbled upon a series of messages between Amanda and another person. The messages, he claimed, were affectionate and personal in nature.

“I was stunned. I didn’t know how to react to this, so I spoke with her grandmother,” he claimed.

He claimed the both of them then confronted Amanda, who tearfully confessed that she had been having an affair. She claimed the other man was an Ipoh-based Datuk, who was then revealed as the source of her wealth.

Chik claimed that the Datuk, who was married, was someone she had known before she met him, but she was unable to break it off.

“She subsequently pledged to have nothing more to do with the man,” he claimed.

He alleged that after her admission, Amanda became hysterical and threatened to kill herself, claiming that her life wasn’t worth it. He claimed it took sometime before they managed to calm her down and the situation got back to normal.

Depression and Suicide Threats

Chik disclosed that his wife was diagnosed as being clinically depressed, based on their visit to the Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta. He showed Malaysian Digest his wife’s medical diagnosis report, which stared that she suffered from depression.

He also later discovered that he suffered mild depression as well, as is currently taking medication for it.

He claimed that she was prone to fits of rage, and admitted that it was not something that he could usually help her with. He cited several instances of difficulty in dealing with her rage issues.

“There was an incident where an argument broke out between us in her home. She then took out a knife and chased me around the flat, threatening to stab me. She then sat on the bed and gave me a choice, which was to let her stab me, or she would stab herself.

“I was at a loss, and I broke down in tears. Her grandmother then came home and diffused the situation. But this wasn’t before she had slashed both her forearms.

“We knew that if we took her to a government hospital, she could be charged with attempted suicide, so we took her to a private clinic instead for treatment,” he claimed.

The CCTV Beating

The incident, he claimed, started from a petty argument within the shop and swiftly escalated into a massive fight.

“I’ve read the comments on Facebook and on blogs. I know what people are saying. My wife has also accused me of attempting to harm the baby, when it was the opposite.”

He alleged that his wife had a history of driving off and “disappearing for hours” when they get into a fight.

“This always has me worried, given her pregnancy and her state of mind. There have been times when we were worried sick as she couldn’t be contacted for hours on end,” he claimed.

He claimed that he was trying to get her to remain in the store and not storm off. He also claimed that he was trying to defend himself from his wife’s attacks.

Chik, however, admitted that he should not have reacted violently.

“I have no excuse for that. It was something that shouldn’t have happened, it just went out of control,” he said.

He said he was fully prepared to face the consequences of his actions. Police are now investigating the case under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt.

If charged and found guilty, he faces a maximum one year jail sentence or a maximum fine of RM2,000, or both.

Chik said he was aware of the possibility and was prepared to face them.

“I know what I did was wrong. I’m not running away from it, I’m not hiding. I will accept whatever comes my way.”

so who is right and who is wrong? We are in no position to simply judge. However, it IS wrong to physically abuse a family member (especially a woman because our society is sexist) but at least he owned up to his mistakes and is ready to face the consequences.

I believe he needs his story shared just as much as his wife's video was shared.

Everything is pointing to this being really unhealthy and that it isn't meant to be. What happens now? I can't think as straight as I used to, I worry a hell lot more than I used to, I am more afraid than before. Yet, I feel like hanging on. But I worry that hanging on is not going to be good for both parties.

Been really free lately. It's the end of the exam season and summer break is fast approaching! So what have I been indulging myself these days? Why, the hint is in the few lines above. I'm sure my wallpaper agrees with me on my obsession.

Nah actually I'm more obsessed with the characters and the story plot. The gaming style is a great plus too!

All squad members of ME2 (excluding Shepard; including DLCs)

My favourite character is, the one third from the right. :3

Sere Thane Krios, a Drell assassin (yes i know he looks like a fish. Don't judge me. Bioware intended for him to look like an exotic fish and the bird of paradise. Though I don't know how he looks like a bird?)

How is THIS not hot?

A terminally ill Drell dying from Kepral's Syndrom with a quiet character. I think it's something like tuberculosis or perhaps lung cancer. His personality and character is quite something. Initially I wanted my FemShep (cause female soldiers are just more badass) to romance with Kaidan,

but almost everyone romanced with him. Sure Kaidan is hot, a great guy too, but I felt so mainstream. So I thought, 'hmm, what about Garrus the Turian?' Garrus is a great squad member. I read on the forums somewhere that his romance scene is quite touching too.

Turian sniper, ex-vigilante

And so romanced him I did! In my first try of Mass Effect 2, I got to the point where I was at a cross roads at whether to continue romancing Garrus or stay loyal to Kaidan (from ME1). In the end, I chickened out and broke off the relationship with the Turian before the suicide mission. Anyway, I played ME3 a while after that, then I got Mass Effect 1. However, I gave up on that game as it was terribly long and well.. difficult. I also found Kaidan to be kinda not my type? So yeah. I replayed Mass Effect 2 again to complete the new DLCs I got. Halfway through the game I suddenly just felt something for Thane. The way he talks and the way he sounds; all baritone and low just makes your spine tingle. Not to mention when he gives Shepard a pet name! I almost died. /laughs/ I stuck with Thane till the end of the suicide mission and I am happy to say, that everyone on my squad survived.

*SPOILERS!*

And so, now I'm playing ME3 with having romanced Thane and dumping Kaidan, I am anxiously not looking forward to seeing him die. It's really depressing, since Thane is such a great character, but I suppose there is no escape from his fate. I mean, his terminally-ill state is what gave him that said character, right? I am sure many Thane-fans would agree with me to wanting to keeping him alive in ME3. That's about it for this post. I just wanted to rant on how cool the Mass Effect trilogy is (though I prefer 2 and 3). Here's a trailer (I'm showing you the femshep version coz it's cooler. That's my own opinion. Heh)

Anyway I just hope I get enough EMS to survive the final mission. Here're a couple of pictures to end the post!

i came across a video someone posted on facebook about bigbang's fantastic baby being satanic. my first reaction was "wtf?" sure their music videos for their new album "Blue" is a little weird with their new hair-dos, outfits and tattoos, but honestly how are they satanic? So now you may be asking, "what's wrong with that?" sure spreading the Good News is well, good. But doing it like this?

Yes, Islam does state that Jesus isn't God but only a prophet, (which i know is not true) but, to the extreme of calling Islam a false religion? Might as well ask for another 9/11 to strike! Calling other religions false and stating them in such statements just makes me hide my face with shame. I am a Christian, but I don't go around preaching that my religion is better and you should just convert, no! This kind of act just... makes Christians look bad. No wonder so many people are calling Christians violent, hypocrites and posers.

Something else to add, I feel that these users (since they are mother and daugther) are really the hypocrites themselves. Why would they want to filter out the comments in their videos? Why would they want to disable the ratings for their videos? Why?

My conclusion is that these people want to show that there are many who support their ideas and to hide the fact that there are millions more who oppose them. If I were to preach something like that; for example, i would do it in a un-bias manner. Saying things like that just makes you look bad to other people and making a huge mockery of your own religion. Now let's talk about the content (which you can see for yourself in the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMU8oUnaW4c)

At first I thought "hmm maybe they have good points about why they're saying this." But after their first explanation about owls being a sybol of witchcraft, I just felt like flipping a table on my own forehead. after that came a bunch of nonsense about the third eye which was somewhat irrelevant to the music video. In the MV Taeyang is seen sitting in a meditating position and they're saying he's influencing the viewers to practice meditation/yoga/third eye thing/etc. Honestly, when I first saw that scene the last thing on my mind was to do yoga or meditate. I mean, seriously? I think they're just over assuming everything. There are possibilities that people may follow, but what are the odds? Many people are already practicing yoga long before the MV. They would know better than to blindly follow what their Korean Idols are doing, we do have a brain and mind to think for ourselves.

There are other implicit ideas about the MV in the video. Feel free to watch it and have your own opinions. Whatever it is, I still support Big Bang all the way. By the way, i wonder if they know that all of Big Bang members are Christians and that the majority of S. Korea are Christians as well? (29.9% being Christians and 22.8% Buddhists) Also, S. Korea has the 3rd highest percentage of Christians in SEA following the Philippines and East Timor. So, how could they assume that Kpop is satanic? I wonder...

It's been ages since I last posted anything here :/ and i feel bad. When I read my "recent" previous posts, I keep reading the same line: "ages since I updated/posted anything..blablabla.. feel bad/sorry.. blablabla" -.-
anyway, the only reason i felt like posting something today to kill the Christmas mood (kidding!!) is this:

come on, you don't NEED an iphone just because EVERYBODY has one, do you? my phone is a miserable piece of plastic and metal and i'm grateful for even having a phone after i got pick-pocketed in the train on the way home to uni :(

if you little BRATS want iphones of your own, why don't you EARN it YOURSELF? Kids like you are WAYYYYY pampered and have not had the taste of discipline. I'm pretty sure you'll sue your parents if they lay a hand on you right? pfft. what toufus.

anyway, i'm going to check out their twitters now. heehee.

It's been ages since I last updated my blog, which is on the verge of death. My bad :/ *pets bloggie*
Just to update, I'm currently drowning in assignments (which I should be getting my ass to now) annddddd.. clubs and societies as well (I joined 8 clubs for goodness' sake!). I've got to say, Uni life has been interesting and awesome! :D

Ommo~ so sorry my lovelies for not updating! I've been a really busy student as of late :/
Being a university/college student isn't as easy as I thought it would be.
anyway, exams are happening right now. I just ended 2 papers and I have 3 more to go! *throws confetti*
also, i just finished 2 assignments that i've been putting off for weeks :S

Although the cosplayers here (and in the album) may not look as professional as those you see in deviantArt, they gave their best in cosplaying and had lots of fun. and that's what that matters :D
i only went for the first day because I had to go to church on Sunday :/

It's been a long while since I last updated, and I feel particularly bad for not doing so. My bad :(

Anyway, life in college has been.. pretty interesting on my part. :)

In school, I used to think college life is a whole new world (it is!) and that my life would be completely liberated of homework and nasty teachers. Part of it is true, while the other part isn't. Mainly the homework. As of now, I have 4 course assignments and 1 portfolio to complete. One of which needs to be handed in a week plus from now. The worst part is that i haven't even started half of my assignments. dangit.

Other than my academic life, my social one has been quite a doozy! Throughout the whole month plus that I've been here, I've been making new friends almost everyday! That's the upside of college. You make lots of new friends, despite whatever background you came from. Not many judge your past (hopefully) annnndddddd... well, i've met someone who... has changed the way i think of myself (in a positive manner obviously) and thanks to that person, I'm really challenge by my perception about the "L" word *ahem* I used to think I would never make it, but who knew I didn't have to wait that long? But then again, these feelings are always fluctuating like an emotional roller coaster; one day feeling all high on cloud nine, and the next being terribly down in the dumps or just flat and monotonous like pavement on the street. You get what I mean, don't you? People say, "Follow your heart." But I have been wondering, 'What's my heart saying?'

Sometimes I can't distinguish between my brain and my heart. You could say I'm an utterly confused human female.. or you could say I'm just really careful of my decisions. I'm pretty sure I'm the latter because I don't like hurting people; even unintentionally. Makes me feel terrible. Some may think I'm a kiss-up but I just don't want to make people feel bad, you know? and I don't want to feel bad for making others feel bad.

Ahhhh... I'm feeling quite blah right now. Okay to be honest, i'm missing someone right now. (You know who you are!)

Hope this gives an insight as to how I'm feeling at the moment. :D

College!

Well! It's the second day of classes in College/University and I'm quite lovin' it :D
My next class is at 1pm so I have absolutely nothing to do at the moment. Gonna have lunch at 12 later with several friends then it's off to Social Sciences class with the Business school students and believe it or not, that's all I have today. My schedule's pretty loose to be frank. But it's 2 hours of almost everything. The food here's okay too I suppose. Though you could get sick of it after eating the same thing every, single, day.

The place is... pretty long.. and if you're a first timer here, you'd think this place is humongous but it's not, actually. But it is tedious walking to class from my accommodation. and vice versa.

Made lots of friends too guys and girls alike. Though, more on the guys side since I've mentioned before that the boys here are a 3:1 ratio to their female counterpart. I'm not complaining really. HAHA

Sorry folks, no pictures yet. For the moment. Bon Odori's this Saturday in Shah Alam. Might be going. :D

my last Sunday

Yes, it's my last sunday (was my last sunday) and although I'm really tired, I feel obliged to update my blog now.
See, it's my last Sunday (as stated above)
This morning, went to pick Joanne up with my dad in the car (lol) then at church, helped Bev with her guitar until Sunday school was over and then we headed to McD drive thru and had brunch. I was surprised that there weren't many people there at that time. Anyway, Jo and Bev and I ate, the Nicole joined us later. Met several familiar people (i'm running through the events coz i really want to go to bed. lol )
I drove us back to church at 1pm and like.. wasted time there till youth started.
After worship, Vincent and I were called out to be prayed for. Honestly, it was kinda embarrassing, coz this has never happened to me before XD and it's feels funny when people say your name a lot. Haha. yeah.
I was on the verge of tears when almost everyone gathered around us and stretched out their hands to pray. Seriously.
YES! SO ANYWAY, gave lots of people hugs :(
not that it's a bad thing, but giving good-bye-hugs are so sad. makes me wanna cry D:
and i didn't even give EVERYBODY a hug D:
save em' for Christmas!!

After youth, went for a movie with Bev and Jo. Green Lantern!! Ryan Renolds is SO HOT. gawd. and funny XD

and is it just me, or does the movie seem short? :/
anyway, after our movie, Bev went to the toilet while Jo and I went out the front and crept into the other cinema which was playing.... dun-dun-dun.. TRANSFORMERS 3!!
I was like "OMGTHEY'REPLAYINGTRANSFORMERS!!" and it was PACKED to the brim! we stood at the back and watched a bit. And the movie just started too! but sadly, we left lol.

after that we walked Bev to de gardens and waited for her mum. when she left, Jo and I went to Strawberry Moments! We didn't plan to eat there initially, but since the manager came out personally and introduced their menu to us, so we just ate there lah. Besides, it was just $20 per person, and it was a set meal. Not bad actually. I just didn't like the strawberry tea :/

so yeah, i'm actually half way packing now and i ran out of boxes. Will have to continue tomorrow :D

Childhood Nostalgia!

YEAH SO, oops. capslock was on. anyway, yeah so i was just ripping songs out of my old collection of burned CDs of anime songs. I'm just at disk no.2 and i have 3 more to go. :D
and ALL the songs are titled as "Track (number)" SO, that means, i have to manually rename the songs.
You must be thinking, "that's eassssyyyyy.."
Actually, I've had these CDs since I was 13, and the last I heard them was 4 years ago. And there are a variety of songs in there from many different animes. Apparently in Disk 2, i can't remember 10 songs nor which anime they came from. Dangit.
and as i was looking for OST titles for Samurai X/ Rurouni Kenshin (SUPER old series)

A quick history of this magnificent series:
First came out as a manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki in 1994 (that's freaking 17 years ago!) The fictional setting takes place during the early Meiji period in Japan. The story is about a fictional assassin named Himura Kenshin, from the Bakumatsu who becomes a wanderer to protect the people of Japan.
People born in the 1990s would know this anime/manga :)
(i started watching this when i was 7 or 8)

anyway, back to the blog update. As i was looking through it's wikipedia page, I stumbled upon this part of the long article that RUROUNI KENSHIN IS GOING TO BE MADE INTO A LIVE ACTION MOVIE!!

No i'm not really bipolar. that's just weird.
When I read things like "Outside i'm smiling, inside i'm dying" or something like that, i used to think that it won't really happen to me. Not in a suicidal way anyway. When you're angry, you're angry, when you're sad, you're sad and when you're happy you're happy right?

when i think back on all the reactions i've given to people, it sorta makes me think that this really HAS happened to me. and i think it's getting worse, since I'm more in touch with my emotional side since i've reached the defining age between adulthood and teenagehood; 18.
sometimes, i fool even myself.
sometimes i wouldn't even be sure if i was happy, ecstatic, sad, anguished.. and because of that sometimes i don't even know what expression or reaction to give :/

Heaven, Hell and the Rapture

A friend shared this link on facebook about a teenage South American girl named Angelica Zambrano who testifies to have been shown Hell, Heaven the and the coming of Christ (read article here.) Though, I really encourage you who is reading this to skip the rest I’m about to say and just read the article. It’s long, but don’t let that stop you from reading it till the end. I did, and halfway through, it started pouring. Thunder, lightning, everything. I wanted to share the article of Twitter, Facebook and here but the lightning temporarily distorted my wifi. Bah. Though I managed to share it on fb. The I prayed, "God, please let the wifi work so I can share this online." And a few refreshes later, viola! The internet came back! and now, i'm typing this on blogger.

At first I was kinda skeptical about this girl's testimony. But as I read her words and the Lord's, I began to feel more afraid; more worried about what is going to happen to me, my family and my friends when Christ comes. I sort of relate to Angelina when she said she wanted God to change her but felt no change; even though time have passed. And when she attended a 15 day fast with her family, she said that everyone felt God speaking to them except herself! Sometimes, I often wonder what it's like for God to speak to you. What do you hear? What do you feel? Do you cry? Weep? Faint? I don't know. And sometimes I want God to speak to me; to tell me his plans for my future, to just talk to me! But then, sometimes, I'm afraid of what God will tell me; afraid that his plans aren't in sync with mine. Although, I tell Him that it's okay and that I leave everything to Him, but deep down, I'm praying and hoping that it's what I've always wanted. I'm sounding pretty selfish, aren't I? But, that's how we are. Selfish.

I was pretty shocked (not really) to know that cartoons like Pokemon, Ben 10, etc can cause a child to sin. It's not that oblivious really. Television cause children to be rebellious. I would know. I was a tv addict when I was younger. Now, I'm a FB/Twitter addict. Bah. Need to kick that addiction. = =
So, when children are rebellious, they sin against their parents, and indirectly sin against God. For it is written in the 10 commandments: "Honour your father and mother..." (the rest depends on which version of the Bible you're reading)

Many truths have been showed to me about Heaven and Earth and the Rapture. Read the article and you'll know. And I'm pretty sure many of the things written there will surprise you, if not shock you.
I must warn you, you may not believe a single word coming from this girl's lips. But, I believe. I believe every single word she has spoken. If it may not be true, then may God deal with that. But there's nothing to loose by believing right? It's your choice.
God is real. And Hell is real too. Even more real than you think. So, come back to Him. Don't let your obsessions take his place; money, power, pride, ego, music, public figures, objects of desire. All these things do not exist without God. And so do you.

no, this has nothing to do with my bias female kpop group. There are approximately 21 more days till i go to college. it's really saddening really. KL is really hectic (not that I'm living in KL) I'm just gonna really miss the slow, peaceful town of Ipoh and it's inhabitants; namely, my friends. :(
I'm not really all that eager to start college, nor do I not want to go. The campus is HUGE! like... 5 times bigger than Taylor's Lakeside. And apparently, the block i'm staying in is on the other end of the campus. fantastic. talk about a 10 minutes walk between class and room. Bah.
But on the plus side... the guy:girl ratio there is like 3:1. hehehehe.

as you can see, i wasn't kidding when I said it's 5 times bigger than TLC (Taylor's Lakeside Campus) we have our very own lake too! and DUCKS!! and... tons of oil palm trees.

Finally a Movie

Yeah, as the title states, I finally went to the movies after who knows how long. Went to Mary Ann's mama's art studio in the morning with my mama and left for JJ at.. 12pm ish. Had sushi king for lunch, met Alexis and her Edmund (girl did you dye your hair again? LOL) yeah then.. Mary Ann and I proceeded Sox World with the intention to buy new socks, but being a rational, thrifty (sort of) shopper, I didn't buy the socks which were like... $4 ish a PAIR? crazy. yeah so we went to the magazine shop and i bought some reading material then we proceeded to one of them benches in front of Fitness Concept and chilled while we flipped through the mags i bought earlier. Then Jia Loon came along and joined us in the chilling and we (mary ann and jia loon) chatted for awhile until Philemon popped up. He was wearing this funny looking shirt of a baby with shades and a beanie on (do NOT remind me of the 'beanie" = =).

since we had nothing to do for like an hour plus, we decided to shoot aliens and rock it out in capcom. Jialoon and mary ann shot aliens while Phil and I jammed on the Guitar game thingie. then jia loon played the drums game, and after him, i played. XD zomg. tiring.
after that, we still had some time left so we went to shoot some hoops on the other side of capcom. laughed so hard coz Phil kept cracking jokes about BALLS. so if your mind is dirty enough, you'll get what we mean. HAHAHA anyway, after finishing our tokens, we went to get popcorn and coke. thanks Jialoon for paying!!

and we watched....
PIRATES!!

there were hilarious parts, chair gripping parts.. it was a combination of emotions literally. i didn't expect anything out of the movie anyway. and we sat through the WHOLE credits just to watch the 30 second ish extra scene. wth. LOL. so embarrassing. the cleaners were cleaning up and stuff while we were still sitting there; deciding whether if we should leave or not. and when the extra scene came up, they turned off the lights for us XD awwhhh that's nice. and after it finished, they turned it back on. lol

thennnnn we went for dinner at Takahashi while Phil had to go and fetch his mom somewhere. though, after the movie my chest hurt. like my heart was being smothered. literally. :/ and i wasn't feeling sad or whatever. lasted till 10pm-ish. gosh. is this what they call "heart burn"?
so anyway, had dinner, couldn't finish mine so mary ann and i switched our meals. rofl. then phil came back and he couldn't stop molesting the menu = =
we talked, and talked, and teased phil on his AMERICAN ACCENT, and talked some more till past 6pm and we headed out to walk around JJ. hung around padini till 6.45pm and mary ann left. then the 3 of us went to have a look at S&J and finally, we decided to go home too.

WELL! that was a loonnnggg daaayyyyyy... sorry no photos. :/ jia loon and i decided not to bring our cams coz we feel paiseh. like those epic fail people who hang them around them everywhere they go. but honestly, I do that too. coz right, i'm real lazy to put it in the bag, then take it out when i want to use it, then put it back in again. so mafan you know? haha oh and i made these just now for a friend :
