The Big Boo Cast

<div style="margin-left: 20px;">We're Melanie Shankle and Sophie Hudson, two authors and long-time podcasters (twelve years and counting, y'all) who love to discuss all the important topics: family, faith, friendship, football, and food (not to mention college baseball, make-up, skin care, Netflix, and the best of the beach reads). For a long time we podcasted sporadically, but for the last couple of years, we've worked our way into a routine with The Big Boo Cast. Now that we've grown accustomed to releasing a few episodes a month, we want to do something we've never done: create more content that our listeners love, and we want to partner with Patreon to do that. A Patreon partnership will enable us to invest in our podcast and foster an even deeper sense of community with our podcast people. Our Regular Fancy ($5 / month) Patreon supporters will get two bonus episodes a month about a show or movie or topic that we can't stop talking about. Our Real Fancy ($8 / month) Patreon supporters will get the two bonus episodes plus a live episode once a month. The live episodes will alternate between a live Q&amp;A with our friend Retha Nichole and a live book club discussion. In the event that we have live show information to share, all of our Patreon people will be the first to know date and ticket information, as well as being the first to hear about upcoming book release goodies. Regular Fancy with Big Boo

This tier gives you everything from our Regular Fancy tier, plus one live episode a month. Right now we'll alternate between live Q&amp;As and a book club (this means Mrs. Hudson can make some outlines!). We'll announce our first book for book club in the first Patreon episode for February!

Really Fancy with Big Boo

Our $10 level gives you all the benefits of the $8 level - plus an additional ad-free episode every month (in 2026 we'll be going back to our podcast roots and reading each issue of Southern Living together). Ridiculously Fancy patrons will also have the earliest access to live show tickets (an hour of ticket access before tickets go on sale to all other Patreon members).
