Fall Update

Summer into Fall 2008 has been SPLENDID. Here's a few things I've been up to "here and there":

1) SkyDiving. -absolutely nuts! Glad its checked off my list, as it was one of the most thrilling and scary thing I've yet done. Great to experience it with my best friends!

2). KickBall. I play with an organized adult league called "Big Balls" in St Lou. Its way fun and getting competitive. My favorite new sport to play, no doubt! All about friends having a good time on Sunday afternoons. Our team won the D-4 summer champion title! Now were up to D-2 in fall ball... kicking & catching away. Oh so fun to be a big kid again!

3) Camping. Took an outdoors trip with boyfriend Josh down the 11 point river in southern Missouri. It was beautiful and adventurous, esp when I found out we were sleeping on the river bank that night. Surprise! All good.. I even look forward to doing it again! He's got all the gear, all I do is show up :)

4). MOre Trips! Went to Dallas Texas this last weekend, Josh and I both had friends to visit. Unfortunantly I didn't get many pictures of Maria, Marc, or Madden; though it was wonderful to see them. Came back with this one from the Texas State Fair, and then just another pic below of Josh and me. I'm blessed to have sweetest boyfriend ever!

5) Facebook. I gave in and joined the facebook crew. Easier to keep updated with friends, family, and pictures; so if you have a page make sure I have your email and we'll keep in touch!

DMB at Busch

Finally. I've been a Dave fan for at least 10 years and probably one of the last few who hadn't been to his concert. This one was worth the wait! First concert at new Busch stadium was packed out, full of Cardinals fans, 35,000 seats up & jammin all night. It was Much Fun! And Dave didn't disappoint- the music was spectacular. Adam came in town last minute, and I found a good deal on craigs list for extra tickets. Third row seats behind home plate are nice and cushy.. who knew? Here's a few pics~

happy speech month

A handful of my SLP coworkers celebrating "Better Speech & Hearing Month". Hacienda was the perfect outdoor location for a happy hour after work on Friday. This team is one the best parts of my job! Below (top to bottom) are friends Casey, Ellen, Beth, then me and Elizabeth. Maranda and Jeff we missed you!

strawberry fields forever

Sweet bike ride out by Eckerts strawberry fields last weekend. Properly called Strawberry Fields Forever, even had prizes for best 60s/70s costumes for bikers. Maybe next year we'll win! Met up with Dorothy and Allison from church, threw bikes onto my car (literally), and had a fun 25 mile ride on a beautiful Sat morning. Fresh strawberries at the end were a treat!

C-group

One highlight of my year is this community group from the Journey church. We've met on Wednesday nights for the last year, and I've been greatly encouraged by these fellow Christians. Its made my big church feel very personal and these people are quite special. Their authentic friendships and prayers have made a difference in my life! We ended our official year this last week..with plenty of games, food, and good times to go around! Girlfriends Esther and Dorothy below; the rest of the bunch after that :)

Helen's Wedding

Last weekend was a fun Nashville trip for Helen's wedding. Got to gather with my favorite friends from graduate school.. and it was oh so good to see them! Helen and Amir married at the beautiful Hermitage Hotel, and it was an awesome celebration. Lots of dancing! Here's several pics of my favorite SLP ladies ~
