For 30 years, the Australian Science Communicators (ASC) has been Australia’s peak body representing and connecting people passionate about science communication. We are a diverse community, bringing together professionals, educators, researchers, journalists, and creative communicators to advance meaningful engagement with science and technology.
We support our members through professional development, networking opportunities, advocacy, and recognition of excellence. We learn and share best practice to boost engagement with industry, investors, policymakers and more. Together, we strive to make science accessible, meaningful, and influential—shaping a society empowered by knowledge and inspired by discovery.
Being part of the ASC has introduced me to my tribe of weird, wonderful and wise colleagues, who are equally willing to discuss high-level challenges or just share how excited they are about their latest project
Membership of ASC has provided invaluable access to a network for business and educational opportunities
I can't imagine not being a part of this community. ASC has supported and enriched me as a professional and more recently as an academic, but mostly just through being my friends. ASC is my people.

Our membership brings together a diverse community of science communication practitioners, researchers and educators from across Australia. Our members contribute critical skills and expertise across a wide spectrum of businesses, academia, government and not-for-profit organisations.
