December 2014

Dec. 5- "Parents and Pastries" This school activity is supposed to be a chance for parents to read with their students and then have a donut together.  When I got there Will was already fully engaged in reading to our little friend Sammie.  I couldn't break that up!

Dec. 8- Hi Score goes to Funky, aka yours truly!  Not bad for a random round of Just Dance.

Dec. 13- We actually started the Pasta Sauce early this year!  Abby is learning Glenn's secret recipe.

 

Dec. 22-  Abby loved the caramel corn from the Bunkers.  Umm, I think that was supposed to be for the whole family;)

 

 Dec. 25- Christmas morning!  With all of our Christmas decorations packed and moved the previous year we found a humble little Charlie Brown tree and propped it on a table.  It looked lovely!

 Dec. 26- Grandpa Williams' birthday.  Grandma had a cute idea to make him a money tree to fill with dollar bills.  She knew the dollars would be something he would recognize and enjoy.  She was right!  The sight of all those dollars was too much, we quickly snapped a couple of pictures as he started taking them off.

 

Dec. 28- Moving Day!  We divided into 3 cars for the trip.  Glenn and Will in the moving truck.

We drove straight through a storm and with the winds it was pretty dicey at times.  Glenn and Garrett had the worst of it with the truck and trailer.  It was a relief when the storm broke and we crossed the border to our new home.

November 2014

Nov. 10:  Family Home Evening was horseback riding the with Bunkers!  The Bunkers were so great to teach us the ins and outs and let us take over the arena for awhile.  I only took a couple of pictures of Em, but Abby snuck into this one and then Bro Bunker ended up snapping a picture of me.  It was

a very fun night!

Nov 13:  Red Ribbon Week at Legacy.  Crazy sock day and giant Twister at recess!

Nov 14:  The best way to spend a chilly Fall night.

Nov 18:  Will was going through a strange stage.  A sombrero and fake mustache made up his every day attire for several days.

Nov 25:  Puppy Barn!  A new store called Puppy Barn came to town and we were all hooked.  Basically it's a puppy store and they would let you come in just to hold and play with the puppies!

Nov 27: Thanksgiving!!
Guests included, Grandma and Grandpa Williams,  Lauren's Aunt and Uncle Jake and Jessica, Dave and Leslie Denker's and Rebecca and Emily, Cameron Boyce and Grandma Taylor.

Oct. 1:  Bishop Dearing presents Will with his Religious Knot.

Oct 25:  Sadie Hawkins Dance 50's Theme.  For some reason they didn't have pictures done at the dance so this picture is all we got.  Mom was not happy to say the least.  Abby's date was Hunter Hall;)

Oct 29:  Lucky Kansas City shirts not quite lucky enough to save the World Series.  We'll get 'em next year!

Oct. 31:  Garrett's fat guy costume idea just wasn't very practical.

Will's companion showed up and they had a quick lesson with Superman before heading out for the night.

When the house seemed a little too quiet I found these two chilling on the front step.  I love moments like this.

September 2014

September 13th- After a couple of failed attempts we finally made it out berry picking.  There is a family in Pleasant Grove that grows all kinds of fruit and does a little "you pick it" kind of business. 

We've done it a few times over the years and I wanted to go one more time before the move.  Plus I was out of raspberry jam;)  Emily had a YW activity so she wasn't with us but we ended up taking the Bunker's. 

 Abby took a few selfies during the jam making.  I think she was trying to take credit for it.  That's ok though, I hope she continues to take pride in "homemakie" kind of stuff.  This was a batch of Rasperry-Peach.  Mmmm so good!

  Sept. 19th  

This is the face that Rosco makes after doing something bad.  He actually smiles when he's been bad, it's pretty funny.  This was after eating a whole plate of homemade pretzels that Emily had made.  Emily was saving them for an after school snack but Rosco got to them first.  I took the picture so that when Emily came home and asked "What happened to my pretzels" I was able to pull out my phone and "explain" everything.  She was not amused, to say the least!

Sept. 28 Abby's Birthday

Abby's Sweet Sixteen landed on a Sunday.  Glenn and I snuck home during church to put up and banner and balloons so the whole neighborhood would know what an important day it was!
