Jamaica to host 20th CWA

Caribbean Week of Agriculture (CWA) is the premier event on the regional agricultural calendar. It is a roving event hosted by CARICOM Member States and Associate Members and includes seminars, key meetings, a special meeting of the Council for Trade and Economic Development (COTED), and an exhibition. Jamaica will host the 20th edition of CWA under the theme : ‘The New F.A.C.E of Caribbean Food Systems’.

Jamaica hosted the 49th Meeting of the Conference of CARICOM Heads of Government

Jamaica hosted the Forty-ninth (49th) Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) from 6-8 July in Montego Bay under the chairmanship of Dr the Most Honourable Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of Jamaica. Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Heads of Government met in Barbados, 19-21 February 2025, for their 48th Regular Meeting which was convened under the theme: Strength in Unity: Forging Caribbean Resilience, Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development. The leaders discussed several pressing issues for the Community, including but not limited to, food and nutrition security, climate change and the climate finance, ongoing challenges in Haiti, security issues, digital resilience, geo-political issues, external relations matters, maritime and air transport, reparations, and the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME).

Temporary Closure of CARICOM Secretariat Headquarters for Repairs

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Headquarters building in Georgetown, Guyana is closed to facilitate essential repairs.

 

During this period, the building will not be accessible. Secretariat staff will operate remotely and will remain available via email and mobile telephone.

 

The Secretariat appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all partners during this time.

 

An announcement will be made when the building has been re-opened.
