Interior Design

So I was waiting to see this as these little posters have been floating around the Internet lately. I knew there would be an interior design one sooner or later!

More Rodeo Fun...

We had another fun night at the rodeo a little over a week ago with some friends...I think Grady is already counting down till it comes back again next year! 

 (I'll gladly take one of those paint horses thank you very much)

 (Rodeo opening ceremony = more patriotic than the 4th of July (almost)...it's very cool)

 Afterwards we had a little too much fun playing in the pens...

 So very true!  Feeling blessed much more than deserved today.  Today I took a job in Fort Worth that I couldn't be more excited about!  God truly has answered our prayers in so many ways, and I feel thankful beyond words.  I can't wait to get back into the studio on Thursday!

Where O Where...Have We Been?

My fellow GPS girls will appreciate that title ;).  Funny how some things just never leave your head...anyway...

We've been having fun doing some exploring in our new city over the past couple of months.
We headed up to Possum Kingdom Lake to Grady's family's house for a fun night of relaxation at the first of the month.  I only managed to snap one picture, which I took primarily because before I moved here, I think mom thought that cactus was the only thing that grew in Texas (sorry mom :)).

Then, we celebrated Grady's birthday on the 4th at the Mavericks game...

I have spent fun times at the park with these adorable little ones and and their sweet mamas who have made me feel so welcome here in Fort Worth.  It's been so fun to be here with them and I'm so glad that I'm getting to spend more time with them again.

We headed to Bull's Night Out at the Rodeo and saw some bull riding and rather scary stunts as well, but loved it.

And finally, as evidenced by the pictures above, I have become increasingly obsessed with the multiple camera apps I have on my iphone. That's right - I have three. I like each one of them for different reasons, although they mostly all do the same/similar things. Here's a little sample of each: 

1. Instagram (this was the first one I got, I love that it's easy, and especially love that you can go here and have your pictures made into little square magnets)

2. Hipstamatic (this one doesn't zoom, but I love the funky effects it has, and you can also print cool square photos in a variety of sizes here)

3. Camera+ (this is the latest I've gotten and seems to have the most features - I haven't figured out if you can print directly through the company or not, but we'll see)

So that pretty much catches us up.  Now that we're finally settled, I'm hoping I'll be a little more active on the blogging.  I don't have the best track record though so we'll just have to wait and see ;).

One {Crazy Wonderful} Year

Grady and I celebrated our First Anniversary on January 15th.  I can't believe it's been a year already!  It seems so recent that we were digging out a path in the snow on Lookout to get to the church :).  This year we spent the day before our anniversary having lunch on a patio in short sleeves...crazy!

We had a laid back weekend together here in Fort Worth.  Grady gave me gorgeous flowers on Saturday...

On Saturday night we enjoyed a fabulous steak dinner at Del Frisco's downtown.  It was one of the best meals I've ever had, and so nice to have a fun, fancy night out.

On Sunday (the actual day), we had a relaxing day at home before eating the traditional piece of frozen wedding cake that night.

It was actually really good still!  We both kind of grimaced as we were about to take the first bite, but were pleasantly surprised and ended up having a full piece each and continued enjoying it over the week.  My mom did an excellent job preserving it, and I got it out on Saturday to defrost.  It worked perfectly!
It has been such an amazing year!  Neither of us ever would have predicted what it would bring, but we couldn't feel more blessed.  The past year has brought a ton of fun along with some trials, but there is no one I'd rather have by my side no matter what comes our way than Grady.  I am so thankful for him and for how much we have grown and been strengthened over the past year.

Our little Lolo is 4 today! She has been a trooper during this move and has gotten lots of special attention on her birthday. We love you goose!
