Our Adventure Begins....

First of all I would just like to say that I know its been about 6 months since my last post. I have been very busy with work and I just havent had the time, but I thought I would let everyone in on how things are going for Joe and I. Friday was our One Year Anniversary! We celebrated by going out to dinner and then we ended up going by and hanging out with some friends of ours and had a lot of fun. I can't believe that a year has already went by since we started dating. It seems like we have been together longer though at times :) but I wouldn't trade any of it for the world. We are stronger and closer than ever and I believe that we will continue to see our love grow. I can't imagine what it would be like if he wasn't in my life. I think there is a certain person for everyone to be with in this world and I can honestly say that I have found my "certain someone". I am so lucky to be with the man who has come to be not only my best friend but the love of my life. Thank you Joe Hunter for picking me to be your love :) I love you baby♥


On another note we are going to be moving in about 1-2 weeks depending on how fast all the last minute things get done. We will be moving to his home town of Seven Points, Tx and I am very excited but at the same time very nervous. This is a big thing for me since I have never moved away from home before. So here I am, completely head over heels for guy and I am willing to pack up everything and leave the "home" that I know to move 3 hours away to a place where I know absolutely no one (besides his family that I have already met) and make a "new home" for us to begin our new life together. I know some people are probably thinking I am making a huge mistake and everything but I dont think I am. I trust this man with everything I am and I know I am making the right choice.

Okay let's see..I began dating Joe Hunter in January of 2009. We just recently celebrated our 6 months in July and are about to be going on number seven :) It seems like we have been together alot longer than what we really have. I guess it is because we see each other 24 hours a day. We bring out the best and want the best for each other. We share so many of the same goals and I can't imagine my life without him in it. I have completely fallen for the most amazing guy ever and cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with such an amazing man :)

Christmas Time.

Christmas time is approaching so fast. I cannot believe that it is all ready December 3rd! It came so fast this year, or so it seems. Time to trim the tree and put up the stockings, put up Christmas lights, and sip hot cocoa by the fire [I tend to do that alot in the winter]. This is by far my favorite time of year. The coolness outside which makes you want to curl up by the fire and listen to "Let it Snow" on the radio, even though us Texans do not see very much of it. I just love everything about it. I also love going to see the Live Nativity. After all, the Message is the real reason for CHRISTmas. I do have to say, one thing that really erks me is how people have stopped writing/saying "Merry Christmas". They will either write/say "Happy Holidays", "Merry Xmas", or "Happy Xmas". I just dont get it. Even when you go to a store and you have been shopping, waiting in the long lines or whatever and you get up to the register all chipper [trying to present a happy attitude, while all the while you just want to say "Could ya hurry up a little?"] When you finally make it up there, the cashier will either ask you how your day went or say nothing at all. I mean where did these people learn their Customer Service Skills?? So you say Hi, just to be polite and then you get some automated response. Once you are finished checking out they simply say "Have a nice day." I just look dumbfounded at them and turn to say "Thank you, Merry Christmas." and walk off. I know that theres different stuff about "Merry Christmas" and peoples religion, but I mean you can be courteous to others. Ya know?? Maybe its just me, I dont know. All I know is that Christmas is not what it used to be and that makes me sad. It should be about Family Time, the Message surrounding the Nativity and Jesus. Not about whos going to get the better Christmas gifts, blah blah blah. So, on that note I hope that noone gets into "Scrooge-mode" this holiday season. Be nice and patient. You never know what little bit of kindness can do for someone.

My best friend Kasey turned 20 on Friday. I went over to her house on Thursday because I was going to tag her car! When I got there around 11:30pm, her car was gone. I was like "Well Crap." Lol. So I went home. Well while I was at work on Friday I was txting her and she was shopping at the mall. She was telling me how she was trying to find a shirt to wear that night because her boyfriend took off work for that night so that he could take her out. They were going to Texas Roadhouse and then going to catch a movie. I was trying to throw her off. So since I knew she wasn't going to be home for awhile, I told her about how I had tried to go and decorate her car the night before but it was gone. She told me that her mom had borrowed it instead of taking her truck.

Anywho, so after I got off, I went straight to her house which is a good almost 20mins. away. I got there and parked at the apartment complex beside hers because I didnt want anyone to see me. Well I walked over to her car with my car chalks in my hands and went to work. Her living room lights were on so I was trying to hurry because I didnt know if anyone was home. Well then I heard 2 dogs barking and thought they were hers, but it was actuallys the neighbors. After I got done with her back windshield, I made my way around to the drivers side. I was about half way done when I saw this truck coming and it looked just like the front of her boyfriends truck. So I ducked down beside her car and was peeking through the window, I just knew they had gotten home early and were going to find her car halfway decorated. Lol. It turns out it was an explorer and they were just looking to see what I was up to.

Anyways, I kept going and by this time I knew I had to hurry or they would really find me. So I hurried up and got it all finished. After I was done I took pictures, put her one part of her present on the bbq pit on their front porch and got in my car and left. She txted me at about midnight and was like "OMG!! I cant believe you did all of this. Thank you so much."

Well today I went and met my mom and gma for lunch at Chilis around 3:30pm. After we got done, we decided to go to Target. Well I called Kasey and was asking her if she had fun with Chad and she said yes and then I started telling her about the story behind me decorating her car. She was laughing. Then she went on to tell me that what made this even funnier [and she is dying with laughter about right now] is that it was actually her neighbors car that I had decorated. He runs the Valero by her boyfriends but actually lives in the apartment beside her. I thought I was about to die. She just kept laughing on the phone. I was like "Well was he mad?" She said no, he thought it was hilarious. Her mom and everyone were dying laughing when they saw the car this morning. Her boyfriend said that theres no telling what goes on with me and her because something somehow always goes wrong. Lol. Anyways, the man wished her a happy birthday and everybody took pictures because it was so funny. I mean I had "Birthday Diva" written all over it and "Honk I'm 20 today" and all sorts of stuff on it. It was Hilarious!!

Well the 2nd part of her gift is that I bought me and her tickets to go to the Renaissance Festival tomorrow. I am going to pick her up at 8am and we are going to head off for our roadtrip as were calling it. We are so excited. We both havent been before [besides us being about 4 years old and not remembering] and cannot wait. We have packages of batteries and our digital cameras and cannot wait.

Starting Again

So yesterday I went to the doctor and had my 1 month checkup around 4pm. I was a little nervous, I mean I followed everything he told me to a T. When the nurse called me back, it was time for the "eye opener". I closed my eyes the whole time because I didn't want to be disappointed if I hadn't done well. I was so relieved and excited at the same time when she told me I had lost 20 pounds :] I couldn't believe it. I was so happy. So then I went and treated myself to a Celebration day. I got my hair cut and highlighted and did some shopping.

My Journey

I am currently working for a small landscape company in Humble. I have been there for about 2 1/2 months and I love it. I am an Administrative Assistant which is pretty much a receptionist with some extras. I graduated in 2007 from New Caney High. In August of '07 I went to college wanting to major in Nursing. Hmm let's just say I found out that college wasn't for me. So in October I withdrew for a "temporary leave of absence". I worked at a hotel until February of 2008 as a Front Desk Receptionist. It was a very stressful job and couldn't handle doing doubleshifts from 3pm until 3am. So then I stayed with my gma and we would go out for lunch or shopping and just hangout. On Wednesdays we would go to the library and copy reciepes. It was alot of fun and I enjoyed the time we had. So I started working for this company July 14th and have been here ever since.
