nbNg is the work of self instructed metalsmith Nettie Birch, who started her practice after redundancy from the ink industry, using her problem-solving background to explore the limits of material and technique. Nettie uses the relatively new discipline of fold-forming to make tablewares & jewellery in silver & the ancient skill of hand raising to create vessels from copper & aluminium, seeking to make these ordinary metals seem extraordinary.
