The purpose of RIHA, the International Association of Research Institutes in the History of Art, founded in Paris in 1998, is to promote education and research in art history and related disciplines, to strengthen cooperation among its member institutes through the exchange of information on scientific and administrative activities and research findings, and to encourage joint research projects and initiatives.
