The Solidarity Center is the only organization of its kind, a U.S.-based nonprofit partnering directly with workers—where it matters most—to come together, speak out and create real change.
We don’t just support worker rights—we help workers turn those rights into reality. We provide the training, resources and legal support workers need to push for fair pay, demand safe working conditions and ensure they are treated with respect.
Stronger worker voices mean stronger democracies, fair economies and more stable societies. When workers have power, everyone benefits.

Founded in 1997 by the AFL-CIO, the Solidarity Center is an independent nonprofit, dedicated to ensuring that hard work is rewarded, workplaces are safe and people have a say in the decisions that affect their lives—no matter where they live.
We are funded by a wide range of public and private sources and operate with a single mission: to help workers secure fair wages, safe conditions and a voice on the job and in society.
Wherever workers are silenced, mistreated or denied their rights, we stand with them—because when workers have the power to improve their own lives, democracy is stronger, economies grow and society becomes more just for everyone.
