I borrowed iron to my room which was poorly maintained on the surface (iron) and returned to get another one which looked OK from outside. As soon as I started ironing my while shirt, steam came out as dark brown and ruined my (only) short that I was going to wear next day. Manager was service oriented and offered to replace the short which I did. However, time and aggravation spent on the chaos can never be compensated. Irons need regular maintenance and distilled water should be provided and used for steaming purposes; none of which was obviously done at Pullman Basel.

The design and room size/layouts are super pleasant and nice. Also the team is really above average (check in, cleaning, bar, everytone). The one thing that makes me not book again is that my superior double for me was too warm - No individual AC. you can go -2/+2 compared to hostel temperature. It felt like a constant 20degrees at least. For me that's too warm for sleeping - One window that could open, but as the room is facing the street and you already hear quite some tram sounds without opening it's either being without fresh air, or being in a very loud setting. If you are good with warm(er) rooms I totally reccomend this stay. If not, consider another hotel with real AC.
