    Fantastic attachable controller!

Gamevice controllers are the best in the market for convenient mobile gaming on the go. All their controllers attach to your iOS device, they all make use of the lightning port for connectivity and handly charging while play thru the lightning port on the outside of the controller. This is the only apple supported controller on the market that attaches to the ipad's sides (this is important, non supported bluetooth controllers do not work with 90% of games!)

This controller makes the already large 12.9 ipad pro even larger but seriously, if you own a 12.9 pro size isn't any issue for you, is it?

    Pros

    . Full xbox/ps4 controller layout

. Lightning port for controller connection. No mifi timeouts or connection issues ever

. Lightning port on controller for handy charging while playing of the 12.9 pro

. Does not get in the way of this glorious tablets four speaker system

. Does not obscure the rear or front cameras

    . Responsive controls

. Does not get in the way of the official apple smart cover when in keyboard out and traditional stand layouts

    Cons

. Dosen't get any smaller when not connected to the ipad so you will need to take consideration of your carrying package for your pro if you plan on taking your gamevice with you

. The official apple smart cover lays 'on top' of the controller so with controller attached you can not make use of the smart cover auto standby feature when cover is on screen

    Huge, Massive, and absolutely amazing

This controller has good buttons, nice sticks with concave heads like an xbox for easy grip on the thumbs, a more than servicable dpad, and it allows me to game on my iPad Pro while riding the train without having to balance the ipad on my knees and hold a controller.

Yes, this this is massive, and for some people it might be offputting... but the weight is well balanced and I was able to get an hour of minecraft and 30 minutes of Oceanhorn in without any fatigue. It is by far the most ridiculous "mobile" gaming experience I have ever had.

Passthrough charging works as advertised, and the port is lightning, so if you are near and outlet and want to play and charge, you can do so with your iPad's power adapter.

I didn't knock points off the review for this, but it would have been nice for there to be an easier way to travel with this. the controller halves are held together by a rubber strip that stretches across the back of the iPad - which is fine, but there is no way to separate these things so I have a pretty bulky new addition to my bag. Had the strip been removable I could have positioned things differently. A minor quibble but one to keep in mind if your bag space is at a premium.

Either way, this has made gaming on my iPad Pro "magical" - great product and glad it finally came out!

12.9" ipad controller is pretty much exactly what you'd expect

GameVice for the 12.9" ipad is pretty much exactly what you'd expect. The only gripe i have is that the device doesn't roll up, separate, or fold up in any meaningful way. The plastirubber back that holds the grips together is a little stretchable, just enough to get the device comfortably around the ipad without any excessive force needed, and strong enough to hold it in place without even a slight worry about slippage. For portability, the device can be "folded" but no crease folded, so you still need a larger bag to transport with comfortably. Any device the ipad fits in, this will fit with it, as long as its not a little flush tablet bag. The unfortunate news is that I've been using mfi for a while (wireless exclusively) and had problems in games where it would drop out or stop functioning. Thinking it was the wireless, i opted for the GV at a much higher price point. I've not been dissapointed by the quality of the controller or controls, but the same problem persists even with the wired connection. It appears to be a problem with IOS and has not been fixed since ios 8. Not looking great, but you will still get your money's worth if you're an ios action gamer. For the most part, the hitches happen once per play session and require i quit the game disconnect and reconnect the controller to fix. If apple fixes the problem, the gamevice will make your ipad a viable contender as a dedicated gaming solution.

Very well built with quality analog sticks and buttons. The spacing could be tighter, but maybe my hands are on the small side. I love how I never have to worry about a rechargeable battery. Just plug it in to the ipad when I want to game. I'd love to see a future version be a bit smaller and perhaps the ability to be used off the iPad similar to how the upcoming Nintendo switch can turn into a separate controller when not attached to the screen.

This garbage device only works with very few select apps. Buttons are mushy. Thumbsticks are okay, but nowhere near great. Cheap feeling plastic, definitely not worth the price.
