In the business I'm in, I do a lot of recorded statements (always done with the permission of the person being recorded). In fact, over the last 20 years, I have done thousands of recorded statements.

Doing recorded statements over the phone used to require a landline or VOIP phone that one would attach a a device to the phone handset and the voice recorder.

That said (or written), I, and colleagues in the same business, have been looking for a way to be able to obtain recorded statements over a cell phone since pretty much all cell phones do not allow the phone to record a call. The reason for the search is because a lot of the people we are trying to take a statement from do not get back to us right away and the subject may call while we are in the field and we only have our cell phone available. When this occurs, it may be the only time we will be able to take the statement.

This product is a godsend and invaluable.

The instructions are easy to understand and the product is easy to use.

The sound is incredible. The microphone is also incredible. The person on the other end can be clearly heard and the person on the other end can clearly hear the caller.

The USB aspect of the product makes the recordings easily transferable to a computer.

Recordings are easily deleted from the product or from the computer when the product is attached.

One thing that is not covered in the descriptions of the product, or the instructions is that you can actually switch from a normal cell phone call to the recording device. This is done by turning on the blue tooth of the cell phone while the call is going on. Since the recording device has already been paired to the phone, the recording device will automatically engage and start recording. I was experimenting and found this to be unbelievably useful and ridiculously cool.

One of the other great features is that you can use the product as a regular recording device for in person statements, meetings, etc. So there is no reason to carry 2 recording devices everywhere.

It should be noted that I read all of the reviews for this product and the negative ones seem to all be related to operator error, or a misunderstanding of technology.

There is nothing I don't like. This product is absolutely fantastic.

Connect through Bluetooth (BT) to your cell phone and the device instantly becomes a headset with ability to record both caller and recipient of any phone conversation. (Please observe all federal and state laws when recording other parties.) The device also doubles as a voice recorder. Recordings are in 64kbps mp3 format. Device mounts as a flash drive on Windows which makes download of recordings easy. One minor flaw - built-in speaker volume is somewhat low, however, this is due to the small size of the device. Volume and clarity of recordings is excellent when played through computer speakers. There is no headphone or external mic jack, but I would not expect any. The device has a built in rechargeable battery which charges through any standard 5 V 500 mA USB port. Manufacturer rated battery life is 360 hours on standby (BT on), 5 hours of recording phone calls (BT on) and 12 hours of general voice recording (BT off) - I have not personally tested these.

This is for the manufacturer. The manual is very confusing and as such requires a lot of time for a client to study and learn how to operate the PR200. Appears the translation from Korean instructions into English is missing proper words and phrasing for a clear thought process to exist. In addition having a strong potential for clients to become extremely frustrated due to their inability to successfully grasp how the PR200 operates.

ARE YOU EXPERIENCING RETURNS AT A LEVEL NEVER EXPECTED? Well I'm offering to turn this into easy to follow directions that create a feeling of intelligence being absorbed 1,2,3. Trust me, the current frustration when trying to absorb the PR200 functions is EXTREME. Therefore, has a strong potential for individuals wanting a recorder for cellular transmissions yet being completely unaware of this challenging manual. As such their intrinsic direction will not allow a threat towards their own intelligence which in turn shall directed against your product as though of a poor design that could never meet their needs and therefore, quickly returned for a refund.

Now that would be a shame. I usually grasp the overall aspects of a product before I have mastered its operation and the PR200 certainly has a strong growth potential in becoming a member of many American households and especially many, many businesses once easy to learn how to operate and enjoy its benefits. Again, those benefits will never be realized until its operation is easily absorbed.

If you are intrigued to seriously interested, then contact myself thru Amazon and once we are one on one then can begin to discover a mutually beneficial relationship. Currently from my chair you have already designed a cellular telephone recorder being one of few such products available, now go one step further by insuring its operation is easy to grasp.

Do advise as it will require a considerable effort on my own behalf to begin and accomplish my own ability to fully and easily use the PR200. Only possible with a lot of my own patience within a trial and error format to learn the operational sequence. Once gained then re-arrange and organize into an instruction manual even one not extremely smart can quickly absorb while becoming a client, your client along with those from their excellent word of mouth presented in how easy the PR 200 operates while providing so many benefits for their individual and much more so businesses needs now met.

This device is great. There is a bit of a learning curve because the buttons are not very intuitive. Keep the instructions nearby while you're learning it (this is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5). I am a freelance writer, so I use it to record interviews in person and on the phone. It took me a week or two to fully understand it and trust it, but now it's excellent.

The sound quality is fine for me. I interviewed people on a tarmac with loud jet engines running, and it picked up their voices perfectly. It's easy to upload the files on the computer and easy to pair with my phone. I use a Samsung S7 edge.

Before I bought this, I was using apps on my phone to record interviews, and they were awful. Some didn't work, some worked some of the time, some had awful playback controls and I had to use a different app for in-person recording vs. on the phone. I didn't want to spend $100 on a recorder, but I'm glad I did.

Several drawbacks. Item is quite small, with equally small function buttons. Item is uncomfortable to hold up to the ear. Mic is extremely sensitive, picks up any kind of noise - including any finger movement holding the item to the ear. Item should have come with a lanyard.

Item was easy to pair with cell phone.

I was very happy with the PR200. Easy to follow instructions.

This product probably isn't worth 5 stars, however I am grading on a curve because the other options I tried for phone call recording are even worse.  I needed to record phone calls in one-party consent jurisdictions without informing the other party, which I couldn't do without purchasing some kind of device, because built-in recording on smartphones force you to notify the other party when recording, which is dumb, because they could just provide a disclaimer and let you decide whether it's legal in your jurisdiction to record without notification.  I started out with the Mobvoi TicNote AI which produces low quality recordings.  After switching to this device, I get much clearer recordings.  I returned the Mobvoi TicNote AI.  This device can be finicky and difficult to use.  Sometimes I mistakenly put the switch on "Voice" instead of "Mobile" which means the call doesn't get recorded.  But, overall, this is the best option I have tried.

Very surprised by this recorder. I searched for whatever method I could find to automatically record my phone calls with the iPhone and I could not find an option better than this. The storage, even at 4gb last quite a while. (Like 144 hours of recording) I've been using the device for the past several months, and the pocket clip on the back has broken just a little which makes it loose, but it is still useable. The pocket clip is one of the nicest features about the device, you can easily put it on the inside of your shirt collar, and pick up whenever it rings, or use the voice recorder setting for other conversations.

The device easily connects to windows by plugging in through USB and you can copy/cut all of your recordings to free up your memory. It can charge plugged into the computer, or any USB power source. The only drawback I've found on this though, it does not time and date stamp each individual file. I've not been able to find a way to set the time and date on the device.

This might be the most useful thing I've bought all year. If something happened to it today, I'd buy another one immediatly. I hope that some other companies bring out similar devices to this, so that you can use a bluetooth connection right on your ear. You have to hold this to your ear, but that being said, when outside, or inside, or in my car, the volume is perfect for being able to hear other people, and other people can always hear me clearly.

El dispositivo funciona correctamente y graba las llamadas con una buena calidad. El audio es claro de ambos lados de la llamada, pero tiene un fallo que me parece fatal.

Se conecta por Bluetooth a tu celular y con su bocina integrada realizas la llamada, pero la grabadora tiene la forma de un lápiz y es incomodo sujetarlo por varios minutos seguidos. Debería de poderse conectar otros audífonos porque sí es cansado en llamadas largas estar usando la grabadora.

Conclusión, funciona bien, pero no puedes usar audífonos manos libres para las llamadas.

Para grabar las llamadas hay que hablar por el dispositivo,te lo colocas como si fuese el teléfono y la conversación se escucha perfectamente.

Si estás esperando una llamada basta con tener el dispositivo encendido y con el bluetooth conectado,cuando te llamen basta con dar al botón de coger llamada y listo.Lo mejor es que la persona con la que hablas no notará nada extraño en la llamada.

La calidad de las grabaciones es muy buena,incluso se entiende cuando hablan un poco apartados del teléfono

Yo compré el de poca capacidad y puede almacenar muchas horas de llamadas.

La batería dura casi todo el día,supongo que dependerá de cuánto uso le des,yo lo necesitaba para una hora en concreto,pero lo cargaba por la noche y podía estar todo el día fuera de casa sin necesidad de volver a cargarlo.
