Blocking spam users is beneficial |

This is a really useful feature, especially for maintainers dealing with spam. Being able to block someone directly from their comment without having to navigate away makes moderation much quicker. It would also be nice to see similar moderation controls expanded to other areas of personal repositories in the future. |

Low-quality and spammy contributions are on the rise, creating additional work for maintainers and making it harder to focus on meaningful collaboration.
We've introduced a faster way for maintainers of repositories owned by personal GitHub accounts to manage unwanted activity: you can now block or unblock users directly from their comments on issues, pull requests, or discussions.
To block or unblock a user:
This shortcut lets maintainers take action without leaving the issue or pull request, helping them respond more quickly to spam and other unwanted activity.
We hope this makes moderation simpler and gives maintainers more control over their communities. Weβd love to hear how you use this feature and what additional tools would help you manage contributions more effectively.
