My Policy for My Hair（毛想学）

I do not care about my hair. I have a lot of body parts, and it is my hair that I have not taken the least care of. I had hardly taken care of it when I was young. Even when I began to work, I did not take care of it. I hardly combed my hair or used a conditioner. I used to go to the office with bedhead. Sometimes, I was told by my colleagues to groom my hair, but I ignored it. Even now, I usually do not comb my hair. Every day, I wash my hair with shampoo and dry it with a hairdryer, but never comb it. I have used something to comb my hair, but hardly any. I used to use a comb, but now I use a hairbrush, all of which have been cheap plastic.
I go to a barbershop bimonthly. I have a favourite that I have used for at least five years. It used to be my favourite, but I had replaced it with another one once, and I came back to this one. I have never asked how my hair should be styled in detail. I only ask them to cut it as short as possible, but not make it too short like a crew cut. This helps them to save on costs. They don't have to use as much shampoo or conditioner on my hair as on others'.
Nevertheless, my hair is still as strong as weeds. It has turned white entirely but still grows without falling out. I am surprised to see how strong my hair is. I really appreciate it, but I have to say that I do not intend to take care of it in the future. I hope that it stays strong until the end of my life.

　ボクは髪の毛を気しません。体にはたくさんのパーツがありますが、一番手入れをしてこなかったのが髪の毛です。若い頃はほとんど手入れをしませんでした。働き始めてからも手入れをしていませんでした。髪をとかしたり、整髪剤を使ったりすることもほとんどありませんでした。寝癖のまま会社に行っていました。髪を整えるようにと言われたこともありましたが、無視していました。今でも髪をとかすことはほとんどありません。毎日シャンプーで髪を洗い、ドライヤーで乾かしますが、とかすことは決してありません。髪をとかしたことはありますが、滅多にしません。櫛を使っていたこともありましたが、今はヘアブラシを使っています。どれも安いプラスチック製です。
　2か月に1回、散髪に行きます。お気に入りの散髪屋があり、5年程通っています。この店は、昔もお気に入りだったのですが、一度、別の店に替えて、また戻ってきました。店では、髪型について細かいことは言いません。ただ、坊主刈りにならない程度に短く切ってほしいと言うだけです。このおかげで、散髪屋さんの費用削減に貢献しているようです。他の人ほどシャンプーや整髪剤を使わなくて済むからです。
　にも拘わらず、ボクの髪の毛はいまだに雑草のように丈夫です。すっかり白髪になってしまいましたが、抜けることはなく、生えています。その強さに自身もびっくりです。本当に感謝していますが、今後も手入れをするつもりはありません。この丈夫さをずっと保ちたいと思っています。
