Career
[change | change source]Before playing in the NHL, Bolduc played two regular season games with the Sioux City Musketeers of the United States Hockey League (USHL), as well as, two seasons with the Rimouski Océanic and two seasons with the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). He had a successful time with his teams. He won the RDS Cup as the QMJHL's rookie of the year, Michael Bossy Trophy as the QMJHL's best prospect and the Michel Bergeron Trophy of the QMJHL's offensive rookie of the year.[1][2] He was also named to the All-Rookie Team, back-to-back Second All-Star Teams, and CHL Second All-Star Team.[3][4] He helped the Remparts during the playoffs. They defeated the Charlottetown Islanders, Rimouski Océanic, and Sherbrooke Phoenix before defeating the Halifax Mooseheads four games to two to win the Gilles-Courteau Trophy. This earned them a spot in the Memorial Cup tournament. The Remparts defeated the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the Western Hockey League (WHL) 5-0 in the final game to win the Memorial Cup.[5]
He was drafted 17th overall by the St. Louis Blues of the 2021 NHL entry draft.[6] On August 23, 2021, Bolduc signed a three-year entry-level contract to join the Blues.[7] He was sent down to play for their AHL-affiliate Springfield Thunderbirds.
On February 22, 2024, the Blues called him up and Bolduc made his NHL debut in a 4–0 win against the New York Islanders.[8] Two days later, Bolduc scored his first NHL goal against Alex Lyon in a 6–1 loss against the Detroit Red Wings.[9]
On July 1, 2025, the Blues traded Bolduc to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for Logan Mailloux.[10] On September 13, 2026, Bolduc signed a four-year, $16.8 million contract to stay with the Canadiens.[11]
