yeah, I am having this issue too... I have a suspicion since their little minimum requirements thing, JUST says 'windows 10' I have a feeling this might not be for linux...

well knowing that they love linux, maybe they might make a patch very soon. atlast i hope so!
just to add my support for this, I don't see the point in steam link if i wont work on linux, windows already has a pc link for quest?
I tried this on Debian, oculus store app wont see my PC at all. I hope they'll resolve this issue
yup, that would be great, I guess it's somewhere on their roadmap, it's just not here yet.
For me, on a Manjaro system, it has changed from not finding any computer at all when first released to Quest to finding a computer and displaying the message "Streaming VR is not available from that computer".
god please, if this supported linux i can finally fully ditch windows for good
I really hope they ship an update to make the steam deck compatible with this feature

Its a damn shame I can't run my quest 2 as a bigger screen for it, without jumping through a bunch of hoops
You can stream from steam deck to the quest 2 using an older unofficial (by that I mean it wasn't approved for quest) version of steam link from APK mirror. I don't know why they disabled it in the official version.
Please, please, bring Steam Link VR to Linux. I would finally be able to leave Windows.

Edit: There is something BETTER now. WiVRn. It's an app for Linux and Quest headsets which enables wireless VR.

use https://github.com/alvr-org/alvr for now

If alvr worked fine we wouldn’t be nearly as excited for steam link vr as we are now lol
Alvr works like ♥♥♥♥, and that’s when you can get it to even work :(

@Regnbuebork You have to first allow/enable Steam Link. Open Steam, go to Steam menu at the top, open Settings, scroll down to Remote Play, and check the Enable Remote Play is turned on (slider to the right). You can either pair directly from settings, or wait for the pairing code popup when you start connecting the Steam Link app.

Not sure whether it actually works though.
you should really check the post dates next time man
