Steam Link Randomly Turning Off
I'm using the brower to catch up on some TV programmes using the link and every 15-30 mins the link randomly turns itself off and the TV goes black.

Anyone else had this issue/know why it's happening?

Yes i am having this issue too. I am currently looking into it.
With me is online on the menu and not when the game is loaded. I did have an issue with half life ep 2 with it crashing on the opening menu.
It seems like the box isn't coping well with an issue. It is possible that the problem is PC side. I am going to see if my drivers are up to date etc...
I have an AMD R2 200 series GFX card
Are you using standard steam client on your P.C. or useing Beta Steam client? It was mentioned somewhere yesterday for using the beta Steam client with the steam link!
I am using the beta. are you saying i should be or that i should NOT be using the beta client?
Im having the same issue, not in the steam beta though. I wonder if its AMD related? I have an HD7800
other than that its been streaming flawlessly. its actually really impressive
AMD here as well, r9 390. It lasted about 90 minutes this time, the the controller makes the beeping sound and turns the whole thing off. I'm also getting a few random freezes and on my pc it has an error message about a driver not working!
starting to look like an AMD driver issue...
I will try the beta drivers and see if that makes a difference
hmm seems that way. I took myself out of beta and it was a little bit more stable but still went black screen then disconnected the stream... all AMD? seems a little fishy to me. lets hope a patch gets released, providing this isn't just a coinsidence

You should be using the steam client beta. But as others have said, maybe the issue is with AMD drivers?

Well i am all up to date so if its an issue with the drivers there is nowt i can do about it right now. It's just so bizzare. Normally i can work out "logically" what the issue is as im from a programming background but it doesn't seem to make much sence :/
I am using Intel & NVIDIA. Both laptop and desktop is experiencing Steam self-termination without stating why it closed itself down for.
The only other thing i can think of is that it might be related to the network speed... Im using a dongle on my PC atm. perhapse having a wired network might help. Altough the games themselves seem to work ok
it could be wireless... but my AC connection is pulling 800mbps consistantly. 8x faster than the built in 100mbps ethernet on the link. i suppose ther could be interferance but doing a signal analysis shows the whole 5ghz range is free of noise. I did notice that when the link does restart steam has been minimized and bumped out of big picture mode on the PC. the video driver may have crashed but i didnt catch the error and havent checked the event logs to see if that happened
turns out its the hardware eccelerator settings
