Building CUPS?
I am interested in building CUPS for Steam Link to use it as a print server, but there are issues preventing me from finishing the process.

I am using docker image of debian stretch as a base image with steamlink sdk copied into it.
Process of compiling CUPS is complicated - it builds supplementary binaries first which are used in further steps. Building fails after compilation of "genstrings" binary and calling it in the makefile - it is compiled for armhf architecture, but since base docker image is x64 (as well as host system), I get "exec format error".

build_steamlink.sh - https://gist.github.com/unknown321/7bd56f7a21a367be85f3fbb9aae02273

end of the log - https://gist.github.com/unknown321/224b945749c143509d7522a7b41fd10d

Any ideas aside from building on steamlink itself?

The problem was resolved by using upstream version instead of debian one - see https://github.com/apple/cups/pull/4897.

Somewhat working script: https://github.com/unknown321/steamlink-makefiles/blob/master/cups/build_steamlink.sh . There are issues though - it has to be moved to rootfs; only index page of web interface works, others fail with `permission denied` error - definitely need more work on installation procedure.
https://github.com/unknown321/steamlink-makefiles managed to get working cups, only local printing works for now. A lot of dependencies, buildscripts are messy - but it works.
