Make A Python Script A Native App
Hello total noob here,
I'm trying to make a python script a native app on my SteamLink but have no idea how to do it. I have a usb beacon light I want to have turn on when the Link does. The script I'm trying to port is here: https://github.com/Microgenital/Giants_Software_USB_Beacon/
I found this github https://github.com/as42165/steamlink-python on how to install python, but am I required to do it in Linux, or can I use the Mac's command line?
How do I utilize the sdk found here https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steamlink-sdk
I've never done programming of any kind, so I'm a bit lost.
I've tested the script in windows and can control the beacon just fine. I just want to do it from my Link. Will I still be able to run Moonlight for my games with the script running in the background? The beacon doesn't pass through when plugged into the link. My host pc doesn't see it.

So I just tried using virtual here on the steam link. But it errors with "operation not permitted with this device" when connecting to the beacon. Vh between my macbook and desktop works just fine, so I guess the sl version has the problem. Also discovered vh only launches when using steam's streaming; it won't connect when using moonlight.
So back to my original question, can I build a python script as a native app to work with moonlight? The googles are mostly about the steamlink app not the hardware. I'm using the old sl hardware.
Edit: found the solution to the error here

But I'm wanting to use Moonlight for my streaming, how can I launch vh with moonlight?
