cursor jumps to top-left when video streaming is disabled

i'm reporting a bug present since steam link version 1.3.20 through the latest version (1.3.19 and older were unaffected), reproduced on android 16 connecting to a windows 11 host, both latest versions, with the latest steam client. when i disable video streaming in the app's streaming settings and enter big picture mode or launch a game (most noticeably shooters), the cursor immediately snaps to and stays stuck in the top-left corner, making trackpad input unusable since i use my phone purely as a trackpad. my guess (unconfirmed, as steam link isn't open source) is that with video disabled, the app may treat the stream as 1x1 pixel or undefined resolution, collapsing cursor coordinates to (0,0); mouse input should work regardless of whether video is enabled. please fix, as this makes gameplay in this mode impossible. thanks

Yep, that's exactly what's going on. It's on our list to fix for the next update, thanks!
Getting big input lag on a current model Fire Stick 4k. The lag doesn't start until I start streaming, so it's not a bad bluetooth controller connection issue. Also use streaming on another PC and my phone; no noticeable lag there. Any idea what's up?

What controller do you have?

It turns out that this is an issue on the host side, fixed for the next Steam client beta update.

You're welcome!
It's an older 8bitdo SN30 plus, works perfectly without lag when connected to my computer through Bluetooth. Appreciate it.

Out of curiosity, do you see the input lag *only* when streaming, or does it show up in the Steam Link shell (the menus before streaming) as well?

And if it shows up in the shell as well, do you have any lag when navigating the Android system menus outside of Steam Link?
