Steam Link

Steam Link

Half of the screen is back when installing the app on my google tv box
Hello,

I've a google tv box from given from my ISP provider to watch their TV offer

I'm able to install any andorid application and all other applications (Netflix, D+,...) are working fine.

But with the Steam link application, I've the top half of the TV screen back

It only happens when I'm asking steam to change the PC resolution to the client/TV one

My PC screen is 3440x1440 running a NVidia 4090
The TV has 1920x1080 resolution
The decoder is a technicolor box with android 11 apparently: https://www.androidtv-guide.com/pay-tv-provider/proximus-v7-decoder/

Note that this is not happening when the resolution is set to 480p (but everything is unreadable on the TV)
Only thing that's working for me is setting the following in the advanced encoding settings:

- Set max resolution limit to lowest available. This will fix the display but it will be low res
- Then click the "Enhanced 1080p" or "Enhanced 4k" button above
Still no solution to this?
If you've got the device, could you grab the streaming logs? I'd be extremely curious if there's anything interesting in there.

I'd also love to know what 'top half is black' means. Is the screen basically *offset* (the whole screen shifted downwards, so you're seeing the top half of the image but on the bottom half of the screen), or *masked* (e.g., the screen is displaying where it should, but it's like something is 'covering' the top half), or what.
