Steam Link on Samsung Dex stopped working for me. Not sure if this is due to this update as I last used Steam Link like this a few days ago, but it does seem like it :steamsad:
Nevermind, started working again after 2 restarts of my phone, seems to be fine now :)

FWIW, and just for later reference, I've seen in the past that DeX will seemingly cache some things. Which in my experience can mean that if you run a DeX-enabled app and then update that app, sometimes DeX acts weird the next time you run the (updated) app.

Rebooting probably cleared whatever DeX had cached.
Please fix this issue. I reported this bug a long time ago, but it still persists. The issue was introduced in version 1.3.20 and remains present in the latest version.
Version 1.3.19 and earlier versions work correctly.
In-game, when I set the mouse to “trackpad” mode, the cursor gets stuck in the top-left corner of the screen and does not move.

A couple of questions:

  • Is this only in-game? (E.g. does it also happen in Big Picture?) Is it in *all* games, or is there a specific game this is going wrong in?
  • What mouse are you using?
  • And could you elaborate what Android device you're using the app on?

All of those will make it easier to figure out what's going wrong for you (and hopefully fix it); mouse has been tested on a number of Android devices without issue, so any info that helps reproduce it *not* working will be useful. :)
Backbone one PlayStation edition now properly recognized! Great work!
@slouken I've noticed for a long time now in the Android edition of the Steamlink application, it might be happening on other editions as well, that in some games like Shapez 2, Diablo 2 Resurrected, or Path of exile 2, etc when the game is booted, the mouse cursor will appear visually corrupted. A workaround is to open the on screen steam link controls, select "stop streaming" while the game is still running, and then immediately relaunch the steam link application. This will put you back in the game and the mouse cursor will now visually appear non-corrupt or fully intact.

Could this be looked into? its a minor bug, but has been in existence for several years...

Could you detail which Android device you're seeing this on? I ask because I actually play PoE2 and have streamed it, and haven't noticed any mouse cursor weirdness. So I figure, it might be device-specific.

I don't think it's device specific. I've seen the issue on the original steam link hardware, but for the last couple years I have been using the Android app on Chromecast with Google TV or Google TV streamer.

Hm. Any other details you can provide? Does it just only happen rarely for you, not every time you try to stream? Maybe details on what you're streaming *from*? (Windows 11, Windows 10, etc.)

I believe you're definitely seeing it, I just can't seem to reproduce it; I tried streaming Path of Exile 2 to Linux (standalone client and inside of Steam), Windows (just in Steam client) Android, iOS, and an OG Link tonight, and the cursor remained the image I'd expect in all cases. Hence trying to figure out what element is involved with your situation that I'm missing.
For path of exile 2 I think it only happens when I change the mouse cursor in the options, usually when going from the smallest cursor to biggest (or choosing one of the premum mouse cursors). It always happens in Shapez 2 or Diablo 2 resurrected though on boot up of the game, nothing special.

I am streaming from a linux server (Fedora 42 which is X11 not Wayland) hard wired with the router to a Google TV streamer wifi via 5Ghz running the android steamlink software.

Thank you, that's useful data! While I wander around between Windows, Linux, and macOS regularly, I generally am streaming PoE2 from Windows because I have historically been too lazy to set up all my drop filtering on other machines. :)

So yeah, I wonder if the cursor corruption issue is a combination of Proton + streaming. I'll install PoE2 on my Linux box a little later to see if the cursor corruption happens when changing cursors there. :)

Hm. I still can't reproduce this when streaming PoE2 from Linux to either Linux or Android. :(

I'll poke further, but can you capture a video to show what corruption you mean?
Thanks, that's helpful!
