Just upgraded to this version and I'm getting crashes after a couple of minutes. Everything seemed to work fine before. I'm on an Nvidia shield.
To clarify: is this the OG Nvidia Shield (e.g. the handheld controller with the screen built in) or the Shield TV?

Beyond that, could you provide information on the crashes? Does it crash after you've been streaming for a few minutes, or only if you're in the shell? Does it crash if you stream and stay in Big Picture, or only if you're actively playing something (e.g. controller input of some kind)? If this is the Shield TV and not the Shield, what controller do you have connected, and is it via Bluetooth or USB, or what? (If this is the OG Shield, I assume you're just using the Shield itself as the controller.)

If you have adb access set up to the Shield, you can also use adb logcat to view what happens as the app is running, and hopefully capture information on the crash.
更新1.3.28后,插上ps5手柄就断连。不插手柄可以正常连接并使用触屏。更新前一切正常。
Incident Report

Device: NVIDIA Shield Android TV P2897
Android version: Android 11
Internal software version: 9.2.4
Network connection: Ethernet
Controller: PS4 DualShock v2 connected via Bluetooth
Streaming settings: 75 Mbit stream, maximum resolution 1440p, HEVC enabled
Steam Link version with issue: 1.3.28
Temporary workaround: Downgraded Steam Link to version 1.3.26 from Aptoide

Issue description:

After upgrading Steam Link to version 1.3.28 on NVIDIA Shield Android TV, the application started disconnecting from the PC randomly during streaming. After the disconnect, the Steam Link application restarts itself.

The PC side of Steam Link remains stable and does not crash or disconnect. The issue appears to happen only on the NVIDIA Shield Android TV client side.

Expected behavior:

Steam Link should keep a stable connection to the PC during the streaming session and should not restart randomly.

Actual behavior:

Steam Link randomly disconnects from the PC and restarts the application by itself.

Temporary fix:

Downgrading Steam Link to version 1.3.26 from Aptoide fixes the issue. After the downgrade, the connection is stable again.

What version of Android are you using?
Is the PS5 controller connected via USB or Bluetooth?
Can you use Android Studio or adb logcat to get the crash logs?

Do you still crash if the PS4 controller isn't connected?
Having crashes as well where the application will just hang and then gives the wait or close application, happens whether streaming microphone or not, more frequent when not streaming microphone.

Phone: Pixel 9 Pro XL
OS Version: Android 16
Controller: ELO Vagabond Controller connected by USB.
I have captured a crash with adb logcat. Where can I send it? Don't want to post it here.

Sorry, I don’t have adb/ Android Studio.
After updating to version 1.3.28, I also started having problems. I use Remote Play to play on my Sony Bravia 7 TV, and now it’s impossible to play because the application crashes every few minutes.
I already cleared the steam link data on the TV, and at first the crashes became less frequent, but after a while it reaches a point where it crashes within 20 seconds of starting Remote Play. I never had this behavior before.
Remote play is unuseable on a galaxy tab s10+ since the newest update

When trying to start with a dualsense controller via bluetooth it crashes the app instantly

Worked fine a day ago
