Steam Link version 1.1.82 BETA

The next version of Steam Link for Raspberry Pi is now available as a beta build.

You can opt into the beta in the support settings in the Steam Link app.

Changes in build 1.1.82.201:

Added support for streaming from Windows 11
Added support for the full line of PowerA Xbox Series X controllers
Added support for the PowerA Nintendo Switch Spectra Controller
Added support for the PowerA Nintendo Switch Fusion Arcade Stick

No luck for me. I switched to the beta client, it updated and now Steam Link won't launch. Errors with "shell: symbol lookup error: shell: undefined symbol: SDL_GetPrefferedLocales".

I then decided to reinstall the Pi completely with Raspberry Pi OS with Desktop (21/05/07), updated the OS software to latest, installed Steam Link, let it update to current build, launched and switched it to beta again. It updated and then again, no Steam Link and the same error as above.

Another point for Valve to take note of is you can't get to the settings to switch to a beta build unless you already have a computer linked. Otherwise, you just get stuck with the option to search for a computer and that is it. This really needs changing. I shouldn't have to add a random PC I don't want linked just to get to the settings page.

Doh. I was excited when I saw the thread, started to search for "the support settings in the Steam Link app"... and could not find anything like that. That's useful. I don't have any non-windows 11 computers, so what can I do?
