Steam Link

No Audio on TV while streaming games but in steam link menu
Hi all, i have an issue i figured out when i finally found some time to setup my steam link on my Samsung TV.
Seems to be very common issue but i failed to find a solution online or by myself so far. Basically i don't have sound when i stream from my host but do have sound when browsing through steam link menu (no stream).

My setup is a MBPro with macos as host in the office room which runs steam.
In the living room i have a Samsung TV which has both:
A: a hardware steam link connected and
B: an Apple TV connected (with steam link software installed).

A: - Now the steam link has sound when im browsing in the steam link menu itself.
As soon as im streaming from the MBPro the sound disappears. When i stop streaming the sound of the streamed game is back on my MBPro.
B: - So i thought, hey don't you wasting your time, use your apple TV and steam link software. So installed this only to figure out the exact same issue exists there.

In both cases A and B my MBPro shows an audio device called "Steam Streaming Speakers" which in both cases A and B are active and chosen as audio device. (It actually shows two but the other one is "Steam Streaming Microphone" so ignoring this)

What have i tried so far:
1: power cycle TV during streaming - no change
2: check audio streaming settings - tried both stereo and 5.1 where i carefully ensured that host and link have same setting at a time - no change
3: Performed a factory reset of the steam link hardware - no change
4: Fresh installation of the macos steam audio drivers - no change

Im running out of ideas here and was hoping someone would have a solution or a new idea i could try.

Thanks in advance

P.S.: i posted this question already over at steam link community forum but was advised to try my luck here as this seems to be a macos issue?
