I love steam link and I have a headless PC always on expressly to stream to my iPhone or android handhelds. I love that you can customize the touch layout and do mode shifts and other fancy steam input tricks, but the ui/ux is obtuse and not as intuitive as modern input menus like on steam deck.

Also speaking of modern, this app still has the old big picture design and sound effects (Samsung style water drop sounds). It would be great if this could be updated to align with the big picture/ steam deck game mode design language.

Finally, please let us have touch control presets. I have a set up with left stick and a few buttons on left side of phone screen and I use a small 8bitdo controller for face buttons and right stick, but if I don’t have that controller I need to manually reconfigure the layout for full touch controls. It would be nice if I could have a few saved layouts I could select on the fly instead of the current copy/paste/reset options.


Also PLEASE consider allowing a portrait orientation so screen is up top with touch controls in blank space on bottom half of the phone. Then I can squeeze in some gaming time one handed waiting in line at the store, instead of having to hunker down landscape with two hands or a physical controller
