Audio lag or de-sync?
Not sure if something has changed or been updated, but as of today my audio lags behind by about a second. Display latency is still fine and feels very responsive however.

I couldn't see anyone else having this issue here, but someone on Reddit made a mention of it, making me think it might be something to do with the Apple TV app?

Watching video content on the Apple TV through YouTube and the like is fine though, so 99% sure it's nothing to do with my TV or soundbar setup. As I said, it only started doing it today and I can't think of anything I've changed that might have affected it.

Any help on this is appreciated, thanks!

After fiddling a bit, it seems that enabling the setting "uncompressed audio" seems to help the issue, but there's definitely still a delay present.
Can you look in the Steam logs\streaming_log.txt for lines with "clearing audio stream"? I'm curious if you're getting lots of those.

Yea looks like it. Anything I can do on my end to help the issue or could it be related to the latest update? It was all working fine a few days ago, so not sure what else could have changed between now and then.
Yes, it was the last update, although I'm surprised you're getting up to 500 ms of queued audio regularly. How is your network performance?

Interesting. Well I appreciate you being able to help out!

omg... Thankyou for asking how is my network performance. I just went down a rabbit hole and discovered I was using 2 cat5 cables somewhere in my setup, meaning 100mbps link speed instead of 1000mbps.. So now that that's fixed I'm sure I'll be getting even better performance!
Any update on when this will get fixed for the Apple TV app? I have my Apple TV hardwired through cat6 cable as well and the audio lag is pretty bad.
We have 1.3.6 currently in review with Apple which should fix this.
Thanks! Really appreciate the updates and transparency :)
You're welcome!
Can you please try 1.3.6 and let me know if you're still seeing audio issues?
Sorry for the delay! Just saw the response. I have tried the 1.3.6 update now after restarting everything. Unfortunately I am still experiencing the same audio delay of 0.5-1 seconds that was not present a few updates ago
Just did some testing and I think the update actually did fix the audio lag issue. There is however a new issue with delay between the Apple TV and a Bose sound bar which seems unlikely relates to the steam update. So all in all I think that the update did fix the audio latency

I still have the same audio delay issue as of 1.3.6 sadly
I’m having audio delay now on my Apple TV. No idea why suddenly that’s the case

Edit: enabling uncompressed audio seems to help a lot
