Reposting this here because I have updated to the latest version and still have an HDR issue:

Hey there team, thanks for all your hard work on this incredibly valuable app. I have an issue related to HDR that I can’t find described elsewhere.

My setup:
PC with HDR enabled
iPad on latest OS with Steam Link app v1.3.19

iPad is connected directly to HDR-capable TV via USB-C to HDMI.

The TV display looks like HDR is enabled twice — colors are way too bright, almost washed out. Only way to fix it is by disabling HDR in Windows display settings on the host PC, which requires a bit of navigation that’d I’d rather not have to manage every time I want to connect.

Is there any way this can be addressed so that HDR is managed properly on the Steam side?

Thanks!

What TV are you using?
Hi! The removal of the trackpad cursor option seems to have caused an issue with multiple monitors. I can now only intermittently move between screens, as the cursor now just usually stops at the edge of the screen. When the screen sometimes successfully switches, the mouse cursor always starts in the center of the screen. This can be quite disorienting, especially when dragging items or windows from screen to screen. As a sidenote, if I use the joystick mouse the trantition from screen to screen works flawlessly. Tested with an iPad and an iPhone.

The software has been working quite flawlessly in the past and I appreciate the effort. I just hope the mouse options make a comeback, maybe as a hidden option :)
miming the comment above mine- completely unable to move between monitors now, as it originally required me to use the trackpad option that is now removed. am I missing an option on mobile that enables the cursor to move off the primary monitor and onto the secondary like before?
This update did fix the picture mode switching on Apple TV, however it doesn’t seem to use P010 encoding under any circumstances and always streams in SDR. On iOS it does use P010 encoding when appropriate (except Elden Ring though that may be a game issue).

Hi, thanks so much for the response, and let me know if it'd be preferable to move into a separate topic post.

I've tried on an LG C2 and C3, with same results on both.

This is fixed for the next Steam client beta update, thanks!

That's correct, HDR output is not currently supported on Apple TV.
@slouken - I realized my display issue was actually due to NVFBC capture being enabled. Toggling it off has fixed the issue. Sorry for any time wasted! Thanks again for all you do - truly, you are so appreciated!
Any chance the iOS app might get updated to allow users to set their desired output resolution when launching a stream into Big Picture Mode?

I've noticed an issue where if my host PC has "Change desktop resolution to match streaming client" turned on and I attempt to a launch a stream into Big Picture Mode via the Steam Link app on an iPhone 12 Pro Max, Big Picture Mode will be displayed in an output resolution of 1176x664, which is very well optimized for phone's native resolution.

Ideally, it'd be nice for the app to recognize the safe area of the screen for the various different devices, and have the stream match that resolution. In the case for my specific device, it would ideally change to 2496x1284.

Apple's developer site has helpful documentation on position content relative to the different safe areas of devices' screens: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/uikit/positioning-content-relative-to-the-safe-area

When will this fix going to be expected? I read this problem from multiple people here on the forum as well. Thanks in advance.
