Set up default commission rates in the YouTube Shopping affiliate program

In the YouTube Shopping affiliate program, the commission rate represents the fixed commission amount or percentage of a sale amount that is paid to creators and to YouTube for the sales generated through a creator’s channel on behalf of your brand. The commission amount excludes taxes and other additional fees.

This article provides guidance on how to view your configured commission rates in Google Merchant Center.

How it works

If your program is managed by a third-party partner (for example, an affiliate network or e-commerce platform), you’ll manage all commission settings in your partner’s portal. Commission settings in Merchant Center are view-only.

You’ll be able to view your settings 2-3 days after you set up the commission settings in your partner’s portal. Check your commision settings on the "Overview" page in the YouTube affiliate section in Merchant Center.

If you need to make any other changes to your settings, adjust them directly in your partner’s portal.

Merchants managed by a third-party partner should consult with their partner about commission rate setup and management.

Requirements

Sub-affiliate merchants should consult with their affiliate network regarding commission rate setup and management.
