To celebrate Valentine's Day, Homer takes Marge to the Tunnel of Love at a carnival. But when Bart pulls a prank, they become hopelessly stranded. Homer tries to cheer Marge up by recounting some of the greatest love stories of all time, beginning with Bonnie and Clyde (as Marge and Homer). Next, Marge tells the story of two dogs, Sadie (Marge) and Scamp (Homer), in her take on "Lady and the Tramp." Lastly, Bart spins the final romantic tale in his recounting of the rock-and-roll romance of the The Sex Pistols when Nancy Spungeon (Lisa) falls for the rebellious Sid Vicious (Nelson). January 29th 2008Ratings:
![]() If "That 90's Show" aimed to bring viewership back to where it was in the '90s, then it failed to do so, big time. 7.58 million viewers tuned in to watch the show's timeline get hacked to bits by striking writers, delivering some of the lowest ratings on record (The Wettest Stories Ever Told: 7.04 million, Homerazzi: 6.9 million, Marge Gamer: 6.4 million, and The Way We Weren't -- another flashback episode: 6.2 million). Midnight Towboy came dangerously close to these types of figures back in October, with 7.74 million viewers.
ABC was in first place at 8pm, with 12.3 million viewers watching Home Edition, while CBS came second for the hour with Shark (11.1 million). Figure Skating on NBC delivered 5.0 million viewers and the CW trailed with 1.1 million viewers watching "Life Is Wild." The next new episode "Love, Springfieldian Style" airs Feb 17. That 90's Show

In a flash back, Homer gives up his dreams of becoming a musician and takes a job at his father's laser tag warehouse to support Marge attending Springfield University. However, when Marge finds herself attracted to an offbeat professor named Professor August, Homer decides he has had enough of Marge's wandering eye. Homer instead focuses his emotions on his music, inventing a new sound called "grunge." As Marge continues to date the pretentious professor, Homer becomes the hottest grunge artist around. But when Marge sees a special news report on MTV with Kurt Loder announcing that Homer's band, Sadgasm, has broken up and that Homer is holed-up in a mansion hopelessly addicted to drugs, Marge must choose between her new life and her old love. E. Pluribus Wiggum
January 8th 2008Ratings:
A total of 8.15 million viewers tuned in to watch a 22 minute campaign rally for Ralph Wiggum, in Sunday night's episode 'E. Pluribus Wiggum'. Its the first episode in a year which doesn't have Simpsons movies, video games, and milestones to aid the ratings. It has become the second lowest rated episode this season. The first episode of last year rated 11.62 million viewers (The Wife Aquatic), but ratings dipped to 8.09 million for the next January showing (Revenge Is A Dish).
The Simpsons was in fourth place at 8:00, behind The Amazing Race, Home Edition, and Deal Or No Deal. Fox was fourth overall for the night as well as among the target demos. Family Guy ratings will not be compared as it was a rerun. The next new episode "That 90s Show" airs January 27. |
