Gary Russell was one of the script editing team for Doctor Who, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures, and is the author of many novels and reference books in the Doctor Who range. A former editor of Doctor Who Magazine, he also was the producer of Doctor Who audio dramas for Big Finish Productions for eight years. He lives in Cardiff.

    What are story...Excellent...All the charactisations were perfect...written as well...Sarah Jane,Jo Grant and The Doctor. Exiting story kept going at a great pace....Sarah Jane is told that The Doctor is dead by Colonel Tia Karem from U.N.I.T...BUT Sarah feels things are not right. Clyde,Rani and Sarah are taken to U.N.I.T Base in Mount Snowdon and meet The Shansheeth..The Carers of the universe..(or are they)..

    Clyde..has altron energy within him that was from touching The T.A.R.D.I.S. in (The Wedding Of Sarah Jane)...During the funeral Sarah meets Jo Grant..both traveled with The Doctor..they remember times with him which is what The Shansheeth want..using The Cradle Of Lost Cords. and the sinister Colonel Karem..Sarah and her friends get trapped..but using the atron energy through Clyde..The Doctor arrives...

    The Doctor,Sarah Jane and Jo end up on The Wasteland Of The Crimson Heart. Where The Shansheeth Trapped The Doctor in the first place.,,They manage to get back to U.N.I.T to fight The Shansheeth...but they are waiting...to trap them all and steel memories from Sarah and Jo to access The T.A.R.D.I.S...it is a race against time for The Doctor,Rani,Clyde and Jo's son to save Sarah and Jo..before its to late.

    I loved this story....you could hear them speak the lines so clearly..and feel the emotion..I loved how The Doctor was described...Confident but moved like Bambi with all arms and legs. There was a touching moment in the wasteland with The Doctor and Jo and Sarah when he tells them he never forgets them..and hugs them both..and Sarah asked if regeneration hurts...The Doctor remembers saying goodbye to them all before regenerating into his current incarnation.

    Loved how the story ended...You felt the the warmth and the admaration they all have for The Doctor...and alot of past Doctor Who adventures were mentioned..Peladon being one..where they both visited with The Third Doctor....I was very impressed.....Sarah Jane being brilliant as The Tenth Doctor once said...Fans of The Sarah Jane Adventures and Doctor Who will love this..and I hope they enjoy this great story just as much as I did.
