Solid product and easy to install
Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2021I installed a handful of these a few weeks ago and they've been operating flawlessly ever since. They integrated right into my Homekit ecosystem from the Homekit app and I have them in several automations. Installation was easy since I have the required neutral wire in all my gang boxes. There's no way around it, but it can be challenging to fit these into crowded gang boxes if there are already a lot of other connections inside. Since all my switches are white decorator style, these fit right in and I didn't need to use the included switch plates. I like that the mounting "ears" on these switches are large so they seat up against the wall with lots of surface area (great if your drywall is a little sloppy around the gang box). The mounting ears are plastic but thick enough to be strong but thin enough to not interfere with the switch plate.
Another feature I like is the ability to set the indicator LED to be on or off whether the switch is on or off. I have some connected to floodlights outside, and it's convenient to be able to see whether they were left on, but I guess those days are over now that I can create an automation to turn them off at sunrise automatically.
I'll be buying more of these.

Big fan of Meross products
Reviewed in the United States on August 21, 2020I’ve become a big fan of Meross products, having purchased 3 garage door opener switches, 4 wall switches, and 8 outlet plugs for myself and other family members. I had been using Wemo switches, but have been increasingly frustrated with their app and devices not working as expected. The Wemo app is especially buggy and constantly requires me to log in to use. When I was offered these switches by Meross to test, I jumped at the opportunity based on my prior experience with their products.
Since Apple Homekit support is the new feature added with this new version of the Meross switch, I will concentrate on that aspect. The instructions say to add to Apple Homekit before adding to the Meross app. I made the mistake of putting the switch plate on before installation, but you need the 8 digit code inside to add to Homekit, and the cover is a bit hard to pry off once in place, so add to Homekit before snapping the cover in place.
After adding to Homekit, I opened the Meross app, and my new switch showed up to add to the Meross app, which I did. It didn’t show up immediately, but I closed out the app and reopened, and it was there.
I installed this switch to control my driveway spot lights. I tested Siri support, “Siri, turn on the spots”, and it worked instantly. I also added an automation to turn on the spots when I arrive home at night. In addition to Siri, Alexa is also supported.
This switch replaced a Belkin Wemo switch. Both work similarily, but the biggest difference is the apps. My favorite feature of the Meross products is the app. It has an iPhone widget, which allow for quick access to all my Meross devices from my iPhone home screen with a quick swipe from the left side of the screen. The Wemo app does not have a widget. Another plus for the Meross app is that it works on your home network even if your internet service is down. We had an extended internet outage the other day, and since the Wemo app requires a sign in, I couldn’t control my lights from the app. The Meross app still worked while I was home.

Works great, Fantastic Customer Service!
Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2021Bought a number of these switches for use in my HomeKit setup. Installation was easy (am a handyman type so not a problem), connecting to HomeKit went fine with no issues. Have had one hardware failure after about six months (out of 8 total switches) - manual button press stopped working. EXCELLENT customer service email reply and warranty replacement in less than a week! I highly recommend these if you have HomeKit; fantastic devices and top notch customer support to back them up.

You might need a bigger box in addition to the neutral line.
Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2020tl;dr - Meross hardware easy to install, meross software is easy to use, Apple Home setup is more of a meh. Make sure you think about what electrical wires and space is available before buying these and while the Apple Home compatibility is good if you're already using it, it didn't add much value for an iPhone user who is using Amazon echos as my smart home hub / voice commands
As a disclaimer, I've been adding smart switches to an old 1930's craftsman home that has probably had a couple of electrical jobs done before I bought the house, and not all that surprised that the previous owners had done some interesting solutions, but that has for better or worse, made it possible for me to work though some of these modern era upgrades, and even since I started adding smart plugs and smart switches to the house, I've been loving it. I have had some previous generation meross products (some of their smart plugs) and while everything eventually gets added to my echo commands, it is nice to stick to some same platform parts to bridge the gap between hardware installation though its network setup before the final connection to Alexa.
So lets start with the hardware. It is straight forward and easy to connect. The instructions are fairly clear, the requirements for a neutral line is clear from the official posting, and while adding said neutral line probably isn't the easiest job, you might want to factor in the size of the gang box you're putting it in. I don't think I'd had any issues with replacing a single switch, but two smart switches in a 2 gang box with both the wires to the lights, the fan, a extra set of wires for the neutral line, plus all the wire nuts that come with the switches means that there's a lot to fit in a box and you are no longer able to use some of the tricks that you can with screw terminal switches. While I was able to get everything in there, it was a tight fit and I did have to open it up to fix a a wire nut that I think the wires got shifted around when getting it all into the box. Now again, the box I had problems with is a old work box, and it is the standard if not slightly smaller size, so if I was doing it again, I might have gotten a new box, but something future buyers might consider as a potential problem. Wire nuts provided are pretty universal. No problems connecting with 2 14 gauge wires, nor with 4 wires, but the size of everything does add up. Other little nit picky stuff is would sort of prefer more standard switch plates. While I like the idea of screw-less surfaces, I was putting these into 2 switch box and had to get a 2 switch switch plate for them. Not expensive, and not a surprise, but would have been nice to have plates I could use easily on other boxes or skip it outright and drop the cost another dollar or two for parts that I don't need.
With all the wiring done, it's installation time. As noted, I've used other meross smart devices in the past, and the installation guide in the OS is nice, although repetitive when you're installing multiple devices. With the Apple Home feature, it was nice that my iPhone was detecting the newly install devices and instantly offered to help connect them, but honestly mixed bag. The code reader for the stickers on the devices never worked, but easy to figure out which switch was witch with the easily viewable home codes and MAC addresses. I did have a few attempts with Apple's Home system spitting out various issues while setting up the device, but I suspect it's more of an Apple thing than a Meross thing since once I did get them setup for my home network (and on my iPhone it HAD to be though Apple's Home app setup) it was just a couple quick commands to the Meross app before they got paired with my Alexa commands.

They just simply work!
Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2024I don't write too many reviews, but we installed Meross Homekit switches throughout the house, about 35 of them, along with the meross smart plugs and garage door opener. They just simply work! Sure, they ocasionally lose connection, but so does everything! Extremely easy to install in the wall and the app. I was tempted to try Lutron, but the real question is...WHY meross works and I will continue to use them until that changes!

Great products and service
Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2025Meross has always provided quality products and their switches are no exception. Out of the 6 Meross switches I currently have running in Apple home, I had an issue with one of them and reached out to tech support. They were quick, friendly and very helpful. After troubleshooting we found it to be faulty. Suda from Meross was happy to send out a new unit to replace. Products and services 10/10.

BEWARE - only works for 3-4 weeks then FAILS!
Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2021HOLD ON TO YOUR OLD SWITCHES!
We replaced about 2 dozen switches in our house - making ours a truly smart home! Install was relatively simple, connected to HomeKit easily and things worked well for a 2-3 of weeks. They were very responsive to HomeKit and turned on/off quickly with our voice or the HomeKit app. We were SUPER HAPPY!!!
Then EVERYTHING stopped working with HomeKit and a couple hours later they came back online. This has happened several times since then - just really WIERD OUTAGES THAT EFFECT ALL LIGHTS AT THE SAME TIME. Our internet is solid/didn’t stop working (Google Fiber) so our best guess is the “backend Meross network” that the switches require to operate goes offline periodically. It was mostly annoying to not have them respond on HomeKit — but they still worked as light switches and was workable.
Then about 3 weeks later THE FIRST SWITCH FAILED — but one out of 22…no big deal right?
A couple of weeks later ANOTHER SWITCH FAILED…then a week later ANOTHER FAILED…and less than 12 hours later YET ANOTHER FAILED! At this rate I’m not sure how many will be working in another month.
It is interesting that they are starting to fail AFTER the Amazon return period.
The biggest problem is when they fail, there isn’t a way to use the lights anymore. Meross tech support takes about 2-3 days to respond and has not been particularly helpful.
Meantime we have ordered regular flip switches as because waiting almost a week for replacements is just not working for us — after all we still need to be able to use the lights in our house!
While we have several replacements coming and our fingers are crossed maybe we had a rash of bad ones and the others will be fine.
I will update

Fearless Firmware Updates
Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2025I have 27 Meross devices (mostly switches) installed for almost 2 years. The initial installation was clunky due to my own inexperience, but once I realized that I could add them to Apple HomeKit without first adding them to the Meross app, the process was much simpler (you can add them/name them in the Meross app after adding them to Homekit if you like.) Firmware updates have been great, but a few days ago 4 devices were reporting "unreachable" and could not complete the update. One email to Meross support and Lydia sent me instructions and a binary file to perform a manual update. The instructions were easy to follow and the updates were successful on the first go. I feared it would be some technical rabbit hole requiring hours of confusing machinations, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Good company, great support, stable products and best brand & value for Apple Homekit integration that I have found.

Michael Leonhart5 out of 5 starsGreat HomeKit Switch, esp for price!
Reviewed in Canada on November 24, 2020I can say that the install, both wiring/practical and adding to HomeKit was great. My wiring was odd (even though new build) but for the Meross part it was straightforward - most homeowners should be able to do this without problems. Good instructions, faceplate, screws and marrettes (twist cap wire connectors) included which was a nice touch. I installed into an existing 4 switch gang with press on plate - the Meross units are just slightly thicker with the plastic (which felt good quality) than the flat metal of the Leviton switches but the mounting plate did fit. All in all, I am happy with the fit and how it appears. The phosphorescent dots work as expected and the led indicators are good for indicating if switch is going, or an error, but not obtrusive with brightness. Adding to HomeKit with the code was easily done via Apple Home app - Meross app not needed (kudos to Apple on making the proximity feature/codes work well). No hub required and connected to my Eero mesh network - no errors or issues. Quick and responsive. Whether it’s Meross or Apple’s stringent HomeKit compliance criteria, I trusted I would have a good experience putting these in and I did. 2-pack single pole is a fantastic bug for the price IMHO. I bought two 2-packs and two 3-way switches (still need to install). Highly recommend.

Zain5 out of 5 starsWorks great!
Reviewed in Canada on May 9, 2021I have just installed 1 single poll. I have multiple smart home things ranging from cameras, locks, baby cams, all from expensive known brands and this is the only one that actually works with HomeKit! A Proper smart switch that is compatible with all the devices. MUCH better than most well known brands that claim to work with apple but do not support homekit! and have to use individual app for each device
The instructions are good except there was no mention of what to do with ground wire (of course attach it to the metal box). It came with everything to install properly even the little cap to twist wires into. (you put the two wires you want to attach together and put in the little cap and twist it). Had a little trouble linking meross app because I have remote garage control that works with ehome life i think Alexa has them mixed (they are the same/does not matter which app you use).
