Inside GL Bajaj, Mathura: Campus Experience

Last Updated : 15 Apr, 2026

Hey everyone! I'm Ayush Sharma, a B.Tech CSE (AI & ML) student from the 2025–2029 batch at GL Bajaj Group of Institutions, Mathura.

When I first walked onto this campus, I had the same question every student has:
"Is a private engineering college actually worth it?"

After attending classes, leading clubs, organizing hackathons, and interacting with faculty, I realized one thing: GL Bajaj provides the platform, but students must actively utilize it.

Infrastructure: Beyond the Brochure

Many colleges highlight infrastructure in brochures, but here is what stands out:

  • High-Tech Labs: Physics, Chemistry, Fluid Mechanics, and Computer Centers
  • NVIDIA AI Learning & Research Centre (first in AKTU institutions)
  • Modern classrooms with capable systems for technical learning
  • Strong Training & Placement (T&P) Cell with industry linkage and grooming programs

Overall, the infrastructure supports learning beyond just appearances.

Placements: The Real Picture

Recruiting companies include:

  • JPMorgan Chase
  • Adobe
  • Capgemini
  • Accenture
  • Intel
  • and others

The Training & Placement Cell provides support through:

  • Mock interviews
  • Aptitude preparation sessions
  • Corporate grooming workshops

A key learning here is: Placements depend more on student effort than the institute name alone.

Faculty Experience

Some notable observations:

  • Attendance is strictly monitored, which builds discipline
  • Internal assessments are taken seriously
  • Faculty members are approachable for academic guidance and projects

Consistency plays an important role in benefiting from the system.

Clubs & Student Culture

A significant part of student growth happens outside classrooms:

  • IEEE Club: Technical leadership roles and exposure
  • IIC (Institution’s Innovation Council): Innovation, startups, and idea development
  • NexaSphere Club: Hackathons, AI events, and collaborative learning
  • Cyber Security Club: Ethical hacking and security fundamentals
  • Yukti Club: Technical events and ideation platforms

The campus also supports entrepreneurship through incubation and funding opportunities.

Academics & Discipline

A simple principle followed throughout:

Consistency is key.

  • Attendance matters
  • Internal marks matter
  • Participation matters

The structure is in place, but progress depends on student involvement.

Key Highlights

  • Active student ecosystem
  • Exposure to technical clubs and events
  • Structured academic environment
  • Opportunities for innovation and leadership

Final Thoughts

GL Bajaj is not just about infrastructure or placement statistics. It is a platform that provides opportunities, exposure, and structure.

The real question is not whether the college is good or not, but:
Are you ready to make the most of it?
