The Centralized Counselling for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan (CCMT) 2026 portal has been officially launched. Coordinated by NIT Agartala, CCMT 2026 provides a common platform for admissions into M.Tech, M.Arch, and M.Plan programmes in NITs, IIEST Shibpur, select IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) based on valid GATE scores.
Candidates with a valid gate 2024, 2025, or 2026 score can participate in this centralized counselling process.
GATE 2026 Counselling
GATE Counselling is the process for seat allotment and admission into postgraduate technical programmes based on GATE scores. It is conducted through two separate platforms:
- COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) : For M.Tech admissions in IITs.
- CCMT (Centralized Counselling for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan) : For admissions in NITs, IIITs, and other participating CFTIs.
CCMT 2026 serves as a single-window counselling platform for candidates seeking admission in participating institutes through GATE scores.
GATE 2026 Counselling Eligibility Criteria
To participate in CCMT 2026, candidates must:

Counselling Process for Regular Rounds
The CCMT 2026 counselling process for Regular Rounds consists of the following main stages:
- Online Registration, Payment of Registration Fee, Choice Filling & Locking
- Three Regular Rounds of Counselling:
- Seat Allotment
- Payment of Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF)
- Online Submission of Willingness (Float / Slide / Freeze)
- Online Document Uploading
- Online Document Verification by Participating Institutes
- Payment of Partial Admission Fee (PAF) and generation of Provisional Admission Letter (PAL)
- Physical Reporting at the Finally Allotted Institute (FAI)
After Regular Rounds, there will be:
- Two Special Rounds (SR)
- One National Spot Round (NSR) (if seats remain vacant)
Note: The entire process is online except for final physical reporting at the allotted institute.
Seat Allotment:
- Seat allotment is done based on:
- GATE score (merit list)
- Candidate’s category (GEN, GEN-EWS, OBC, SC, ST, PwD etc.)
- Choice order filled by the candidate
- Availability of seats
- Three Regular Rounds of seat allotment will be conducted.
- Allotment result is published on the CCMT website.
- Candidates can download the Provisional Seat Allotment Letter (PSAL) after paying the Seat Acceptance Fee.
Willingness Options after Allotment:
- Float : Better choices across all institutes
- Slide : Better choices within the same institute
- Freeze : Satisfied with current seat
GATE 2026 Counselling Documents Required
Candidates should keep the following documents ready for upload during registration and for verification during the admission process:
- GATE Scorecard
- Qualifying degree marksheet and certificates (provisional/final)
- Class 10th and 12th certificates
- Category certificates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS/PwD), if applicable
- Photo ID proof
- Passport-size photographs
- Undertaking/Form as specified in the CCMT documents

Admissions to M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan programmes in NITs, IIITs, IIEST Shibpur, and other participating CFTIs are conducted centrally through CCMT 2026.
