SUSE Formally Hands Off Mono Control To Xamarin

From the press release, "The agreement grants Xamarin a broad, perpetual license to all intellectual property covering Mono, MonoTouch, Mono for Android and Mono Tools for Visual Studio. Xamarin will also provide technical support to SUSE customers using Mono-based products, and assume stewardship of the Mono open source community project."
Xamarin is the new Mono company that was formed after all of the Mono developers were laid off from Novell/SUSE following the acquisition by Attachmate. Xamarin was founded by Miguel de Icaza and Nat Friedman, the former founders of Ximian, the company that went on to be acquired by Novell several years ago. From the Xamarin store is where they now offer MonoTouch for Apple iOS devices and then Mono for Android.
