About

DFB.TV history, coverage, features

DFB.TV is a 24/7 linear pay-TV and streaming channel launched by the German Football Association (DFB) in May 2026. The channel is available in the DACH region (Germany, Switzerland, and Austria), bringing viewers closer to the men’s and women’s German national teams, as well as to Germany’s lesser-known football, futsal, and eFootball competitions.

The DFB.TV channel was launched in a joint venture with Sportainment Media Group, available through cable, satellite, IPTV, and OTT television providers. This launch came ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Germany qualifying for the tournament before suffering a shock round of 32 defeat to Paraguay.

DFB.TV provides viewers in the DACH region with behind-the-scenes coverage of the men’s and women’s German national teams, including during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Coverage encompasses training camps, international matches, major tournaments, daily updates, and more. The channel’s offerings also include historic matches and key moments from the FIFA World Cup and UEFA European Championship, as well as classics from the DFB Pokal.

In addition, DFB.TV broadcasts 250 live matches each year, including youth internationals, the 2. Frauen-Bundesliga, Finaltag der Amateure, futsal, beach soccer, and eFootball games. Additional content features grassroots and development programs, highlighting talent pathways, refereeing, and amateur football. DFB.TV is available either directly to consumers (DTC) through the DFB.TV+ digital subscription service or via third-party TV providers in the DACH region at no additional cost. This includes platforms like DAZN, Zattoo, SYN VIA, SKY, and more, though availability is subject to change.

Subscribers who choose to access DFB.TV directly through the DFB.TV+ digital subscription can stream the channel via the DFB.TV+ app on their smartphones or tablets, or through its official website on a PC or Mac. The app also supports casting, allowing subscribers to stream the channel on a smart TV.
