About

TFX history, coverage, features

TFX is a free-to-air television channel available in France, owned by Groupe TF1. The channel was launched in 2005 as NT1, and it rebranded 13 years later in 2018 as TFX.

The purpose of TFX within Groupe TF1 is to provide viewers with entertainment programming aimed at younger audiences. This includes reality TV programmes, drama series, and children’s television.

Live sports have not featured prominently on the channel over the years; however, live World Cup and European Championship qualifiers have been aired in the past.

The channel is available on French terrestrial TV via channel 11, while it can also be live-streamed via the company’s streaming platform, TF1+.

TF1+ can either be accessed directly through a web browser and via an app, which can be downloaded for free onto smartphones, tablets and other compatible iOS and Android devices. On top of live streaming, French users can also catch up on TFX programming on-demand via TF1+.
