What is felting?

Felting is a relatively unknown craft in Greece. Lately it is more talked about, there are classes you can attend and many crafters are using felting for their creations. Reading here and there I had learned that felting is a technique to make a sturdy, resistant to water and air cloth that is not weaved, by using water, soap and pressure. Things became clearer when I came across this tutorial by fellow Etsian Art Mind about how to make a felt brooch. Check it out, it's very interesting.
