365 blog for 2011

I have been meaning to post the pictures for my 365 blog in 2011. I finally have. The blog is here. I was going to do another theme one, but I changed my mind. I am just doing my LIFE, pictures of my daily life. Check out if you want. I had fun doing the HAPPINESS one but it was a lot harder then I thought. So we are just going with PROJECT: LIFE 2011.

"... But I Can't Move."

As I was making dinner on Friday night I told Kelsie that we were going to go bike riding tomorrow morning. She left and went to her room, I continued making dinner. About 15 minutes she came wobbly out of her room like this...

...and said mom " I can't button my pants.I think I will be warm for the bike ride, but I don't think I will be able to ride my bike. I CAN'T MOVE!!" It was so funny she had put on a pair of tights, 3 pairs of jeans (don't know how she got them all on), and five shirts.

We did go bike riding the next day but she only wore one pair of pants and five shirts.

The Cleaning Lady

After we got back from dropping the kids off at school. I needed to clean up the morning mess. So I put Karlee to work. While unloaded the dishwasher to put the breakfast dishes in. Karlee put away the silverware for me. She does a great job in putting them in the right spot. And she knows to be careful with the scissors (which are really knives).

For her next job I asked her to get the dishes off the table. She realized that there was Cheerios left over that she needed to wipe off. So she got the sponge and got to work.

Decided that she couldn't get it all, just being in the chair and so she had to get on the table.

I guess it must of been a hard spot to get out. She had to get on one knee. She did a great job. (I did clean after she got off with her shoes.) She is a great helper.

Multnomah Falls

We wanted to do something fun on Monday, thought about the zoo but it was really wet and rainy outside. Hoping that it wouldn't be so wet, we headed to Multnomah Falls. Last time we were there it was 2004. Before heading up to the falls we stopped at the visitor center, lucky us they had loaner umbrellas (they should be called lifesaver umbrellas). We grab some and headed out and up.

Oregon's version of Niagara Falls. The water flow was so heavy that you were just getting drenched with the mist that was going on. That is Cody, Lulu, and Alycia down by the mist.

We were standing up on the concert bridge, the mist was so heavy that the kids didn't really want to stand very long for the picture. Jaron is behind Kelsie's umbrella (quick family shot, so we didn't get it perfect.) But Kelsie's face is priceless.

Here we are heading back down the trail. Jaron was very excited to have a umbrella and be dancing in the wetness. It was like he was auditioning for "Singing In The Rain". We were wet after the little trip but we had a lot of fun.

3 Day Weekend

For the 3 day weekend the kids and I headed up to Happy Rock to hang out with family. When we first got there Alycia and Cody had planned a fun game night playing minute to win it games. The first one was the towel races (pictures below), Wii Home Run playoff, cotton ball spoon game, and a fun one where you put a cookie on your forehead and by wiggling your face try to make it your mouth without falling off (no hands). It was a lot of fun.

Cody and Kelsie. The adults were not allowed to use their hands but the kids could. I wish the adults could of used their hands too, really worked your thighs using no hands.

On Saturday we found out that Old Navy was having 40% off all their clearance. We headed over. We found some good stuff. I found these cute boots for the girls for five dollars each. They had these cute matching outfits, and so they were dancing for us.

Thought it was so cute Kelsie, Olivia, and Karlee had polka dot shirts and jeans- we had to get pictures. I thought this one was cute (Lulu eyes closed and Kelsie's sad face.

Jaron's Baptism

On Saturday January 8th, Jaron got baptize. He was so excited. He was inviting anybody and everybody, it was cute. We had just moved here and knew that it was a distance for people to come. I wanted to do it up in the Portland area so that more people would come. But with the mix up we are having with Kallie baptism I didn't want anything to go wrong on his. So I am so grateful for all those who traveled the distance to come to his baptism. It meant so much to Jaron, Kyle and I.

Kyle baptized and confrimed Jaron, Pa2 and Cody were the witnesses . In the circle for the conformation were Kyle, Pa2, Randell, Cody, Steve, and Bishop Forrest (this is more for my record.) Afterwards we met back at our place and had light dinner and were able to visit with all those who came.

Thank you all for those who came and for those that gave Jaron things. We love you guys and so grateful for your love and support. Thank you for being there for Jaron.

New Years Eve Party!!!

We had a fun New Years Eve party at my parents house. We started the night watching Toy Story 3 on the wall with a projector. Just like we were at the movie theater. After the movie we broke out the music, food, and glow sticks. We attempted a game of Candy Land and Jenga but the kids were just so excited for New Years and being up way past their bed time. As midnight approached we ran (we really did) into the streets, letting off poppers, noise makers, silly string, and yells for the new year. Came back in and toasted with one another the new year. And then the kids hit the hay- they were really excited to sleep in the living room at Ma2 and Pa2s. It was a really fun party!!!!

After the party was over, Kelsie was the first one asleep. Tucker out from all the fun she at the party.

Sledding

Alycia and Cody suggested that we sledding during Christmas break, I thought was a great idea. Kallie and Jaron got tubes for Christmas last year; thinking that we were in Klamath Falls we would get lots of snow. But once they got the tubes it never snowed in Klamath Falls, how funny is that. We were excited to go use the tubes!!! We wanted to go up to Mt. Hood but you really did have to go that far to get snow. We went up this one road and we're doing fine driving on the snow. But the further we got up our tires weren't doing well in snow. So Kyle and Cody had to put the chains on the van. I was scared at some points but it turn out good all safe and sound. We drove up a little further on the road and we found this perfect spot. And had a great time sledding. It was a first time for our family but I don't think it will be the last. Once Karlee got bundled up she was planted firmly on a tube. She was having so much fun and didn't want to get off. If you wanted to ride the tube she had to go with you. Luckily she is small.

Here is all the kids down at the bottom of the hill. I didn't get any pictures of Kallie sledding but she was the last one out there. She loved it. The kids all had blast. It was a lot fun.

Jaron's Birthday

In the evening of Jaron's birthday, we did cake and ice cream with family at my parents house. I asked Jaron what kind of cake he wanted for his birthday. He said "a baseball cake". I thought that it would be cute to put two baseballs together and make an 8 out them since he was turning eight. (An after thought it would look cute on a green background.)

I thought that it would be fun to make baseball cupcakes to go along with the cake. But I was not to happy with the way the cup cakes turned out. I did not like the red frosting from the can that I used. I would not recommend it.

Jaron really wanted to play games at the party and so we played a game of musical chair, his favorite game. But it did not turn out very well. He then open gifts. Thank you everyone for the wonderful gifts he love them all.

Jaron's Birthday Surprise

On Jaron's birthday Alycia and Cody wanted to do something fun with him. We tried to make it to a bouncy house thingy. But when we got there it was full. We ended up going to Chuck E. Cheese. Jaron was beside himself with so much excitement he loves Chuck E. Cheese. He was so cute as we were getting closer to the place he was like "mom I am going cover my eyes, you will have to lead me up to the door. I want it to be a surprise". I love him so much, he is so cute. We had so much fun at Chuck E Cheese. Thank you Alycia, Cody, Lulu, Ma2, and Russell for a wonderful time.

This is my favorite token taker at Chuck E. Cheese, I love getting these pictures. So fun. Maybe next year we will do our Christmas cards from a picture we take at Chuck E. Cheese.
