Been so busy

We've been so busy. Between working full time and trying to take care of everything at home and with the kiddos, I hardly ever even get on the computer at home unless it's to pay bills. This week my daycare lady is on vacation, so I took this week off and am playing stay-at-home mommy! I love it. I'm not going to want to go back to work next week. It's so nice to spend time with my babes.

My little man has started eating solid food. He was drinking about 30 oz of breast milk at daycare and was still hungry, so it was time. He loves his oatmeal!! My parents got me a Baby Cook for my birthday and it is WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONDERFUL! I can make him all sorts of organic, fresh, baby food and it's so easy. I highly recommend it! He loves being around his sister and jumping in his jumperoo! He will jump for hours- and has even jumped himself to sleep a few times. He's such a happy, good-natured little guy. We just love him so much.

My Taylor girl is going to be 3 tomorrow. Where has the time gone? I keep thinking about how long we waited for her to come and my labor and birth and how hard that first week was. She wouldn't sleep unless we were holding her and she refused to nurse for days. She just wouldn't latch on. Luckily after my milk came in she got the hang of it. It was a rough first week! She has always been such an opinionated little bug, even from day one. The girl knows what she wants and doesn't like it when we tell her no. We're going to take her to the Denver Zoo tomorrow and she's been talking about it all day. :) It will be fun.

Hopefully it won't be another 6 weeks before I have time to post again.... life is crazy!

Sometimes my kids are doing cute things and the only camera I have on hand is my cell phone camera. Darn it for being such a low-quality camera!

My little bathtub kicker

Here's my little man in the tub. He LOVES to kick those little leggies! We've had a rough go of things around here lately. First Jacob got the stomach flu. Then he got pink eye. Then he and Taylor got RSV which they are both still recovering from. Now Taylor has pink eye. I swear I can't win! I'm ready to pull my hair out. But at least I get to kiss their cute faces every day.

My growing baby boy

Since I am the worst blog updater on the planet here's a quick update on weeks 7-11 with pictures...

Jacob is growing up and getting bigger all the time. At his 8 week check up he was 10 lbs 3 oz which put him in the 19% for weight and the 45% for height. The doctor was a little worried because his height/weight ratio puts him in the 1%, but I assured her that he eats all the time! He is a little chow hound, but he kicks it all off! He is constantly wiggling and kicking.

I went back to work and apparently was too frazzled to take any pictures.

Hopefully I'll have a few minutes sometime soon post a few pictures and video I took of him kicking in the bathtub this week. We love this boy more and more and more all the time. He's such a good baby. He had a stomach virus over the weekend and was throwing up and I know he was miserable but he was still pretty happy. We feel so blessed to have him as a part of our family!
