Happy Birthday Slade Marek Wilson!!!

I cant believe Slade is a year old! Time has really flown by! He is such a lil angel! He has brought alot of joy into our home and is definately Dads best bud!!! We love you Slade and are sooooo glad you are part of our family! Happy Birthday Monster!!!

Slade has become quite the character in our house!!! He is soooo loud and such a boy!!! He is still sooooo dang cute so it really helps my patience with him!!!

Last 2 Months....

This whole blog thing has actually been alot harder for me to keep up with than I thought it would be!!! OOPS!!! Most of the time I feel like I just rattle on about things that only I care about so here is a recap of the last 2 months!!!!

~Tom went to Albuquerque for a week for some training and was able to see my dad and my old dogs!!! He was also able to see Ben and Mike-friends from EOD school because they are stationed at Kirtland AFB.

~Tom was also able to go to Virginia for a couple days for his job and enjoyed that short trip.

~Troy and his friend spent the night at our house on July 31st just passing through. I didn't see him but Tom and the kids did!!!

~Lulu returned to our house...her new momma couldn't give her the time she needed so she came back and then Christina and Isaac decided to take her to live with them. In the meantime...Zeppelin also came back home due to her owners not having the time for her either so Christina and I decided to swap Lulu and Zep to see how it would go and it ended up being a better fit so now Zeppelin is Zeppelin Cullen Lewis and Lulu is back here as a Wilson!!! Slade actually has done really well with it just being her and gets a little case of the sniffles when he is around too many dogs!!!

~Slade has gone from rolling both ways to sitting to crawling to standing all on his own in no time. He doesn't do what most kids do by letting go of the furniture but instead just stands up in the middle of the room. He has great balance...we are waiting for the steps to begin any day now and he is only 8 months old!!!

~Carlos came home safe and sound from Iraq in August. He and Celia are living in Fountain in a cute lil place.

~Everett Tuckett Wilson was born 8/21/09 to Todd and Nicki. He is super cute! Not sure who he looks like but he is a cutie. He makes #16 for the Wilson's. Tim and Tiff should be having their lil boy any day now! I think his name is going to be Lucas and he will be #17!!!

~Leste and Clint found out their lil one due Jan 25 will be a LOLA NAOMI not a Levi!!! This will be #8 for my mom and dad.

~Bella started 1st grade. Her new teacher is Mrs Roberts. She seems to be enjoying it so far. Her good friend Alyssa is in her class again. Her goal this year is to be able to read books to her lil sister and brother all on her own.

~Bella also has lost 3 teeth and is working on the 4th one!

~Lena has become quite the lil singer and her favs include Taylor Swift, Julianne Hough, Sara Evans and Journey!!! What can I say she has great taste in music!!! My mom even gave her a karaoke machine that she uses the microphone to to belt out her songs...it gets a lil loud here at times!!! Shes really good and I LOVE listening to her!!!

~My mom came to visit last weekend. I haven't been feeling so great so she came to help out here at the house.

~2 weekends ago Tom went to put the crib up for Slade to sleep in and there was a lil piece missing so he got on the website to see where we could order the piece from and we found out the crib had been recalled. This was the crib Mom and Dad got us when we had Bella and we hadn't used it in a while so we didn't know about the recall. We sent in the info to find out if we were approved for a voucher and WE WERE!!!! We were able to go to Austin last weekend to babies r us and pick out a brand new crib!!!! The one we picked was not in stock so they had to order it and we are waiting for the call to go pick it up!!! This for me has been very exciting news!!!!

WOW!!!

Soooooo much has changed since the last time I blogged! Where do I begin?!?!?

Tom came home on May 1 and on May 11 was given the chance to take leave for 30 days. We opted to start leave late since Bella was still in school. She graduated from Kindergarten with an adorable ceremony on May 26. As soon as the ceremony was over we loaded the rest of the car and headed out to Denver. While in Denver we were able to see several family members, friends and take the kids to the Denver Zoo. We enjoyed the break from the Texas heat and humidity!!!! While in Denver we were also able to take Slade to see Dr. Andrews-one of the docs I worked for at Denver Allergy and Asthma....Slade had been having a lot of congestion since he was about 2-3 mos old and we tried several things to get rid of it with no success. We even tried changing his formula thinking all the congestion was being caused from an allergy to milk...no success! Dr A did a few skin tests on him and turns out all his nasal and chest congestion was being caused from a severe allergy to dogs!!!! We debated whether we could make the dogs become outdoor dogs and try to control the symptoms with medications but a couple of visits to houses with dogs there sent him into wheezing and we realized that the best thing for Slade was to re home the pups!!!! Now I know that they drove me INSANE while Tom was gone and they are naughty BUT I love those dogs and it was a very hard thing for me to do. Lulu went to Sheila Miles home and Zeppelin went to Tasia and Chris Boyntons home. They both are at great homes where they will be loved and they are both at places where I will still be able to see them for now!!!! We love them and miss them so much!

Gabriella celebrated her 6th birthday on June 20 with a swim party with pizza and a pinata! There were quite a few people here and we all had a lot of fun. She had a great school year and still loves Animal Planet-in fact that was the bday party theme! She wants to be an animal cop when she is older!

Elena is 3 1/2 yrs old now and quite the Lil singer! She loves Julianne Hough, Taylor Swift and Journey! While in Denver my mom gave us a karaoke machine and she loves it and uses it as often as possible! She also shares in her sisters love of animals!

Slade is almost 7 mos old. He is such an amazing baby! He smiles sooooo much and is almost always happy! He is sitting on his own and just today he attempted to get on his knees! It wont be long before he is crawling. He has no teeth and loves baby food! He started saying Da Da this week...it is soooo dang cute! His breathing and congestion is so much better since the dogs went to their new homes! We are really hoping someday he outgrows this allergy!

We celebrated 4th of July by having Tiffany, Kayden and Tiffany's friend Julie come for a visit. We had a BBQ at our house with several friends then Tom and Tiff lit fireworks! It was a very fun weekend!

We have had a busy couple months since Tom has come home and I don't think its going to stop anytime soon although we are hoping he will be home 1-2 yrs before another deployment!!!! Carlos will be coming home in about 6 weeks from his deployment and Celia is now working at Wells Fargo part time! Clint and Leste are expecting a baby Jan 25...I'm betting a boy! Mia is almost 7, Kylie just turned 3 and Marcus will be 1 next week!!! Time is flying! WOW!!!!

The Wait is OVER!!!!

It is done! Tom is finally home safe from the sandbox! After about 15 different arrival dates and times.....he and the rest of his company returned about 1am on Thurs night/Fri morning! We are so glad to have him home!!!! The kids missed him so much and I cant even begin to describe how much I missed him. He is my best friend, the person I turn to when times are hard and Im frustrated with life. He is the one person who gets me.....good and bad! I am so glad he is here to help me with the raising of our children again! and ESPECIALLY the raising of dogs!!!! We have no pics to put on here because I dropped the camera about a month ago and have yet to get a new one!!!! WELCOME HOME TOM!!!!

Must Be A Deployment Moment....

On Friday while I was holding Slade getting ready to feed him he projectile vomited...no warning or anything. I mean this stuff shot across to the other side of my king size bed, all over him, all over me and up into my eyebrows!!!! Wow-poor baby! He smiled as soon as it was over but I was a lil freaked out so I called the Dr and took his temp which was 99.1. The Dr called back and told me that unless his fever spiked or it continued to happen it was prob a fluke thing and it was OK. He was fine the rest of the day although he did have an explosive poop diaper at Target that evening so I decided not to worry. That Target poop must have opened the flood gates cause the next morning he woke up with super runny poop. 2 days later he still has the super runny poop so my guess is a lil touch of the stomach flu but thank goodness he has no fever and is still super happy and smiles every time I talk to him. The reason for that story is because I was in the process of getting ready to change him and feeding him pedialyte when Bella came bursting into my room and announced that there was toilet water everywhere. I asked her if they had splashed it or if it coming out of the toilet and she told me the toilet was going crazy. I put Slade down and ran to the other room to discover the toilet was indeed going crazy!!!! I quickly shut off the water...(something I learned in Florida because this is not the first time this has happened to us!) and called my mom and then Christina. I changed my poor son and started cleaning it up with the small wet/dry shop vac we have. There was about an inch of standing water and carpets going into the 2 bedrooms and the living room were soaked with water about 1.5 feet into the rooms. After Christina got alot of the water soaked up I had to shampoo carpets! This has really been a fun filled wknd with discovering a dead mouse in Aubrey's kitchen, Aubrey's dog being in heat, running errands with 5 kids and the toilet water attempting to play "Katrina" in my house!!!! I think I heard my house and dishes crying for Celia the other day begging for her return! Aubrey says she is going to write a book called Deployment Moments and that my toilet water incident will get its own chapter!!!

P.S.S A BIG THANK YOU TO ISAAC LEWIS FOR LEAVING ME HIS WIFE(CHRISTINA) DURING THIS DEPLOYMENT...I COULD NOT HAVE SURVIVED WITH OUT HER!!!!

Slade's New Haircut

So after much anxiety and convincing from Tom....I did it...Slade got a haircut! Christina held him and I buzzed his hair! Now instead of his patches his hair will grow back evenly!!!
